Orianthi Prepares To Rock Vegas And Be Honored By The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Published on Mon, Apr 22, 2013 (6:02 p.m.)Hollywood, CA - On April 25th, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas will unveil a displaying honoring the work of platinum selling solo artist and Australian guitarist Orianthi. That evening, Orianthi will perform with Glen Sobel (drummer for Alice Cooper) and Vivi Rama (bassist for Macy Gray, Jordin Sparks) at Vinyl. Doors open at 8:00PM and Future Villains, the opening band, will hit the stage at 9:00PM
While many were introduced to her when she played with Carrie Underwood at the 2009 Grammy Awards, Orianthi was catapulted into the spotlight when Michael Jackson picked her to be his lead guitarist on the ill-fated "This Is It Tour". In the Fall of 2009, Orianthi released "According To You," her first solo single, which went platinum in the U.S. and abroad. On March 12th, this guitar virtuoso, who has also shared the stage with Steven Tyler, Prince, Carlos Santana, OneRepublic and Alice Cooper (whom she is touring with this Summer), released her new album, Heaven In This Hell, produced by Dave Stewart (of the Eurythmics).
During the show at Vinyl, fans will be to treated to a set list that includes tracks off her latest album Heaven In This Hell, as well as a few of her previous hits. A meet and greet will follow her performance.
Earlier that same day, in a brief ceremony which will take place in the casino lobby, Paul Davis, VP of Entertainment for the Hard Rock Hotel, will unveil a display honoring Orianthi's work. For 30 minutes following the ceremony, Orianthi will sign autographs for fans.
