United Blood Services Offers Donors Free Admission to Las Vegas 51s Games
Published on Fri, Jun 14, 2013 (2:34 p.m.)LAS VEGAS (June 14, 2013) – During the month of June, United Blood Services of Las Vegas (UBS) is offering blood donors free vouchers for two admissions to Las Vegas 51s home games. Vouchers will only be honored during games scheduled Sundays through Wednesdays. Donors supplying blood at any of the three Southern Nevada UBS locations and select mobile blood drives are eligible to receive the vouchers.
The Las Vegas 51s are the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets. Based in Las Vegas, the team competes in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). Along with numerous division championships, the team won the PCL championship in 1986 and 1988. The team’s home games are currently held at Cashman Field, located at 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North in Las Vegas.
“All of our blood donors give the gift of life through their contributions, and thanks to our community partners, we’re happy to be able to offer something in return,” said Danny Cervantes, regional donor recruitment director for UBS. “The generosity of the Las Vegas 51s gives us a wonderful opportunity to reward donors for their efforts this summer.”
UBS relies on local blood donations to make sure blood is available for those in need. The nonprofit organization aims to provide a safe and ample blood supply, while producing advanced cutting-edge research. UBS currently has a need for O negative and A negative blood.
