Las Vegas, NV. The American Basketball Association’s (ABA) latest team addition, The Las Vegas Defenders, announced their quest to find the best of the best basketball players in Las Vegas today. “We know there are a lot of talented ball players in Las Vegas.” Says General Manager, Lynn Pingol. “We have seen many play in a variety of leagues all over the city, but the challenge is how well can they REALLY play when put in professional conditions? We are about to find out!”

The Las Vegas Defenders is set to have their first team try-outs on June 22 – 23rd at Minker Sports Complex. Between now and then, Head Coach Kent Buckner plans to offer conditioning and training classes to get players ready for the try-outs. Players interested in registering for these fee-based conditioning classes should contact Coach Buckner. “I want to give the players the best advantage possible by offering them the opportunity to get stronger so they can perform better during their try-outs,” Coach Buckner commented. He adds, “Offering something structured will show them how much it is going to take to play in the ABA.”
