MassMedia Community Integration Team Completes 120 hours of Service, Pledges to Donate 100 More by Year’s End
Published on Tue, Jul 23, 2013 (1:58 p.m.)HENDERSON, Nev. (July 23, 2013) – Paula Yakubik, managing partner of MassMedia Corporate Communications, a full-service public relations, advertising and marketing firm, recently announced that the company’s community integration team had contributed more than 120 hours of community service in 2013, and that year-to-date the company had contributed more than $10,000 to local charities.
MassMedia’s community integration team is comprised of nearly a dozen staff members committed to organizing and participating in volunteer and charitable fundraising efforts throughout Southern Nevada.
So far in 2013, MassMedia employees have dedicated more than 120 hours to community outreach efforts. Some recent community integration events include a Habitat for Humanity home build, a pet supply drive to benefit Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, reading to children during Read Week at Edna Hinman Elementary School, and participation in the Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada Inaugural Fight for Health 5k Fun Run. The company plans to contribute an additional 100 hours by the end of 2013.
The company has also made charitable contributions to local organizations since the start of the year, totaling more than $10,000. These organizations include the Nathan Adelson Hospice, Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada and the Links for Life Foundation of Nevada.
“MassMedia takes a hard-working and passionate approach to all endeavors we take on, whether it’s for our clients or community members in need,” said Yakubik. “Our community integration team is a fabulous asset to our company as well as the community we serve, and we are always looking to take on new challenges.”
In November 2012, MassMedia raised 12,450 nonperishable food items during its annual Thanksgiving food drive to benefit Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada. Dozens of local businesses, organizations and community members contributed food items and funds to make the two-week competitive food drive a success. In a matter of 48 hours, the City of Henderson filled more than 100 boxes with goods to support the nonprofit organization. According to Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, MassMedia’s contribution of nonperishable food items was the largest received for the year.
MassMedia is currently collecting school supplies through August 15 to benefit the Salvation Army. These supplies will equip Clark County students with the tools they need for a successful 2013-2014 school year.
