Las Vegas, Nevada: The American Wheelchair Bowling Association in conjunction with the Northern California Wheelchair Bowling Association, The Paralyzed Veterans of America and the USBC - are thrilled to host the 8th Annual Las Vegas Bowling Invitational at Texas Station Casino Bowling Center in Las Vegas Nevada, December 5th thru 8th, 2013.
Open to the public, everyone is invited to attend this exciting event. See some of the top wheelchair bowlers from around the country perform at the height of competition; as 2013 National Scratch Champion Mark Shepherd, and 2012 Las Vegas Invitational Handicapped Division Champions Doug Dalton and Colby Kortum vie for cash and awards at one of the PVA/AWBA Bowling Tour stops.
In addition, there will be an Up/Down - No Tap prize-money event Thursday December 5th at 9pm. Each team will consist of one wheelchair bowler and 3 standing bowlers. This event allows spectators to meet and bowl with competition bowlers, as well as recognizing the special support of national sponsors: Storm, USBC, PVA, and other local sponsors. There also will be prizes that everyone will be eligible for through raffles and 50/50's conducted during this 4 day event.
Singles competition will be conducted in 5 qualifying rounds between the December 6th and 8th, with a doubles competition Thursday December 5th at 11am. For the grand finale, a step ladder roll off between the top 5 competitors in each division will be held Sunday December 8th immediately following the 5th round match play. This will be the best of the best. Don’t miss this!!
