FREE PAPERBACK BOOKS TO SPREAD THE LOVE OF READING, PERSON TO PERSON.
Join the ITT Technical Institute’s Henderson campus as we celebrate World Book Night U.S., Wednesday, April 23, 2014. World Book Night U.S. is an annual celebration dedicated to spreading the love of reading, person to person. Serving as a team distribution site, ITT Technical Institute campus organizers will distribute free paperback books to volunteer book givers (including students, faculty, staff and community members). Books include recently published titles as well as well-established classics, and span numerous genres (including mysteries, romance, sci-fi/fantasy, autobiographies and young adult).
We are inviting local media to participate in our World Book Night U.S. Open House. Join us Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 5:00PM at ITT Technical Institute Henderson as volunteer book givers receive their books for distribution on World Book Night (Wednesday, April 23). Campus organizers will explain the importance of the event, answer book giver questions, and distribute books. Light refreshments will be provided. ITT Technical Institute representatives will also be available for interview opportunities.
World Book Night U.S. is a non-profit annual event. Volunteer book givers signed up beginning fall 2013 and were chosen this February. This nationwide initiative is possible with the involvement of authors, publishers, agents, booksellers, librarians, and, above all, readers!
