FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lake Las Vegas and Boulder Boats Hosts The College Wakeboard Championship April 3-6, 2014
April 4, 2014 – Las Vegas, NV – The top College athletes will tear up the pristine waters of Lake Las Vegas at The College Wakeboard Championships sponsored by Boulder Boats. Eight coed College teams from the original 52 that started the series in October 2013 will complete in a bracket style format. Top level riding can be seen from the shores of Lake Las Vegas in the Montelago Village as riders are pulled behind an Axis A24 wakeboard boat from 11am – 5pm Thursday and Friday. The semifinals are Saturday 11-5 and The Finals begin at 11am on Sunday.
This event coincides with Boulder Boats’ 10 year anniversary celebration just down the street at 615 West Lake Mead Parkway. Started in Boulder City in 2004, this family owned business has defied the odds and economic challenges to build the largest boat dealership in the state shipping boats around the country and the world.
Boulder Boats, local Boat Dealer and distributor of Axis Boats, will be on site with boats on display along with other vendors and the Montelago Village merchants and restaurants. Boulder Boats is Nevada’s largest boat dealer with over 150 boats in stock. They specialize in wakeboard boats which are purpose built vessels designed for watersports. Riders are judged based on style, amplitude and trick variety as they are pulled at approximately 23mph on a course that takes them under the bridge outside of the Aston Hotel.
The College Wakeboard Championship held at Lake Las Vegas offers a great opportunity for fans of the sport or those new to wakeboarding to experience, up close and in person, top College level wakeboarding in a fun environment. There will be giveaways, raffles, music, and demos from pro riders making for a great show. Admission is free to the public.
