Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada hold annual Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake Fundraiser
Published on Wed, May 7, 2014 (2:24 p.m.)LAS VEGAS – May 7, 2014 – Dress up as your favorite Zombie and dust off the bowling ball as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada (BBBSN) holds Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake at 12:00 p.m., on June 14th, 2014, at Suncoast Bowling Center, 9090 Alta Drive. Fundraiser is open to the public. Zombie attire recommended but optional. Bowlers put together teams of five and each bowler raises a minimum of $100 to register. Registration includes bowling, shoe rental, Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake T-Shirt, refreshments and prizes. Sponsorship packages are available and BBBSN is seeking prizes, silent auction and raffle donations, and sponsorships ranging from $1,000-$5,000. The Bowl for Kids Sake Zombie Fundraiser provides a way for mentors and their friends and families, as well as caring people who might not have time to mentor, to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. BBBSN is supported by volunteers, and seeks funding through events like this to maintain and grow its mentorship program and outreach initiatives throughout Southern Nevada.
“Every year, the “Littles” of the organization get so excited for this event! It’s a great way to engage the community and local businesses that might not otherwise have time to mentor. Every little bit helps. Fun activities like this are important to create the environment of connectedness,” said Molly Latham, executive director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.
BBBSN Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake sponsorship packages include Lane Sponsor ($1,000); King Pin Refreshment Sponsor ($2,000); Spare Sponsor ($3,000); Big Strike Sponsor ($5,000). BBBSN is also accepting prizes and donations of silent auction and raffle items such as gift certificates, show tickets, gift baskets, sports memorabilia, weekend travel or spa packages.
