Miss Henderson Nevada USA Hosts an Inner Beauty Event for Women of The Shade Tree Las Vegas, NV– The Shade Tree announced today that the shelter will be collaborating with Miss Henderson Nevada USA, Mariah Armknecht, to host a confidence seminar for women staying at the shelter on July 29, 2014. The women residing at the Shade Tree will have a day of pampering. Local makeup artists, hair stylists, and volunteers will give residents a total makeover. The women will also be styled from head to toe by donated clothes. The women will then walk down a runway and show off their new look. There will also be inner beauty activities, cupcake and cookie decorating, and nail painting.


Mariah Armknecht, the host of the Confidence Seminar, will be representing the city of Henderson in the Miss Nevada USA pageant scheduled to take place this November. She will be competing for the title of Miss Nevada USA 2015. Armknecht speaks firmly about her innate desire to empower and motivate women from all walks of life. Armknecht decided to work closely with The Shade Tree Organization, because the shelter takes in victims of violence andoffers life-changing services promoting stability, dignity, and self-reliance.


"Improving the self-esteem and confidence of women has always been a passion of mine. Most of the women residing at The Shade Tree are homeless and have been physically and emotionally abused. Our goal is to lift the spirits of these women and empower them. The women residing at The Shade Tree deserve to feel inner and outer beauty. We want to help them feel confident and capable of achieving their personal goals while rediscovering their self-worth," says Armknecht.


Many local Businesses and volunteers will donate their services and time to the

event. Beglammed will bring a team of professional hair and makeup artists to give the women a makeover. BeGlammed is an on-demand beauty service that delivers personal hairstylists and makeup artists straight to your door for an affordable VIP experience. Professional makeup artist Bre Beard and hair stylist Dee Marti will also be bringing a team of reputable artists from Artistry Hair Design. Cupcakes will be donated by CupKates by Kate located in Tivoli Village and The Container Park. White and Chocolate Milk have been provided by Meadow Gold Dairy. Decorations have been provided by Janet Milko NationWide Reatly. Hair Products have also been donated to the Women of The Shade Tree by Supercuts for the

event.
