Las Vegas Civic Orchestra Concert features Young Soloists

On Thursday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m., the Las Vegas Civic Orchestra, under the direction of Steven Trinkle, will perform the final program of the season. The concert will feature three soloists, Ms. Erin VanderWyst, clarinet, in the Weber Concertino in E-flat major,by Carl Maria von Weber, Mr. Richard Paugh, performing the Joseph Hayden Trumpet Concerto, and Mr. Johann Thomsen, in the Concerto for the Timpani by Jaromir Weinberger. Johann Thomsen is an eighth-grade student at Garrett Junior High School in Boulder City. The concert will take place in Room 160 Beam Music Center on the UNLV campus and is free and open to the public.
