Black Sheep

This week’s edition of Monster Sundays brings us another blast from the past on the Tao Beach stage: Black Sheep, the Queens rap duo that had the chutzpah to sample the Roger Miller country standard “Engine, Engine Number 9” for its career-making single, “The Choice is Yours”—which, coincidentally, was largely the inspiration for “Weapon of Choice,” the Fatboy Slim hit with the Christopher Walken-starring video. Oh, what a tangled web popular music weaves. August 17, doors at 11 a.m., $20 men, $10 women.
