To help raise awareness for the issue of marriage equality, The Center will show a screening of “BRIDEGROOM,” a documentary that tells the emotional story of two young men, Tom and Shane, in a loving and committed relationship that was cut tragically short by Tom’s misstep off the side of a roof. Following the viewing, Shane will host a question-and-answer session with the audience. Produced and directed by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, “BRIDEGROOM” illustrates how people without legal protections of marriage can find themselves completely shut out and ostracized after a loved one’s death.
