America's First Walk on the Moon

The National Atomic Testing Museum is presenting another addition to its Distinguished Lecture Series. The evening will feature a distinguished lecture by Staff Sergeant Charles D. Carter, a former Aerospace Technician on the NASA Apollo/Saturn V Program. The cost of the lecture is FREE for museum members and $20 for non-museum members. The meet and greet with Carter starts at 6:00 p.m., with the lecture to begin at 7:00 p.m.
As part of the Apollo/Saturn V launch team, Carter installed the Flight Control and Guidance Computers for all of the lunar landings from 1967 to 1971. During that time, he was presented with the Manned Space Flight Awareness Award personally by Dr. Wernher von Braun, one of the leading figures in the development of rocket technology.
Carter will be discussing America's first walk on the Moon and will introduce a photographic and video presentation
