Marion Michael Bloominger

Marion Michael Bloominger, 74, of Las Vegas, died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 20, 1922, in Alva, Okla. A 14-year resident, he was a managerial salesman at Detroit Diesel, graduated from Long Beach High School and attended Long Beach Community College, both in California, was a World War II and Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Shriners, Scottish Rite and 32nd Degree Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Carole; one daughter, Cynthia Veatch of Las Vegas; five sons, Richard Wilcock of Las Vegas, Scott Wilcock of Smithville, Utah, Douglas Wilcock of Avondale, Ariz., Steve Bloominger of Orange City, Calif., and Gary Bloominger of Alaska; one brother, Thomas Bloominger of North Carolina; seven sisters, Paula Grant of Pomona, Calif., Harriett Doran of Downey, Calif., Bea Armanino of Capitola, Calif., Bessie Evans of Bandera, Texas, Theda Crenshaw of Grand Junction, Colo., Pat Cornelson of Gardnerville, and Charlotte Hunt of Seattle.

Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
