City Council approved spending

How the Las Vegas City Council voted Wednesday to spend tax dollars:

* $191,332 to Western Paper and Office Depot for printing paper. Under the contract, Western will get $183,088 and Office Depot will get $8,244.

* $105,000 to Facilitec of Las Vegas, for modular furniture systems.

* $98,000 to California Pavement Maintenance Inc., for slurry seals to residential streets, alleys and parking lots throughout the city.

* $36,889 in a contract modification with Tri-T Landscaping of Nevada for installing a four-inch electrical conduit along Fourth Street to supply power to neon signs that will be installed in the future and for work in front of the Metro Police substation downtown.

* $3,438 in a contract modification with Custom Asphalt Paving Inc. for pavement crack sealing at the city parking lot at Stewart Avenue and Fourth Street and the public defender's modular building.

* $1,653 in a contract modification with City Plan Development for installation of the oven hood, offsets and roofing.
