Charles Joseph Kotzan

Charles Joseph Kotzan, 67, of Las Vegas, died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 19, 1928, in East Chicago, Ind. A 40-year resident, he was a 28-year pharmacy clinic owner, past president of the Las Vegas Jaycees, the Nevada Pharmaceutical Association and Saints and Sinners, the oldest sponsor of the Showboat Bowling League, recipient of the Bowl of Hygea Award for his numerous charitable contributions, instrumental in bringing oral vaccines into Nevada and was an avid race car fan.

He is survived by his wife, Dori; one daughter, Kim Kingston, and one stepdaughter, Grace Williams, all of Las Vegas; his stepmother, Bertha Kotzan of Athens, Ga.; two brothers, Bruce Kotzan of Indianapolis, and Jeff Kotzan of Athens; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
