Pair arrested in robberies

Metro Police have arrested two men in a series of local robberies.

Keith Thomas, 36, of Las Vegas and Jeffrey Brunnelle, 24, of Bakersfield, Calif., were arrested Sunday and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of robbery with a weapon, burglary with a weapon and conspiracy.

Sgt. Jeff Carlson said Thomas acted as a lookout and driver while Brunnelle entered the businesses, pulled out a large butcher knife and robbed the clerks.

Metro's Repeat Offender Project detectives located a car at the Desert Moon Motel at 1701 E. Fremont St. fitting the description of one used in the robberies. It was registered to Brunnelle.

The robberies occurred April 1 at the Best Western at 905 Las Vegas Blvd. North, April 2 at Stuffy's Pizza at 3854 W. Sahara Ave. and April 4 at the AM-PM convenience store at 3885 E. Charleston Blvd.

Brunnelle is also a suspect in 12 other robberies, Carlson said.
