A possible electrical short is being blamed for a fire that caused more than $225,000 in damage to a ranch estate home in Mountain Springs.
Clark County Fire Department was alerted to the blaze at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, and crews arriving 10 minutes later at 2 Pinion Drive found the home engulfed in flames, authorities said. Mountain Springs is located off State Route 160 in the Spring Mountains between Las Vegas and Pahrump.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire despite a limited water supply and high winds. Investigators believe the fire was accidental. No injuries were reported.
