Blinking street lights and one-eyed car lights epidemic

Some industrial buildings and shopping centers are also afflicted with this problem. It is especially irritating when it is outside of the entrance to the store. The champion blinking street light can be found at the corner of Swenson and Twain avenues. This light blinks off and then back on at strobe light speed!

It seemed to me that we didn't have this problem as much in the '70s and '80s. The latest wrinkle seems to be a series of street lamps blinking off in groups. It is no laughing matter, however, if you're in an unfamiliar part of town or perhaps a tired late shift worker waiting at the bus stop.

Another growing problem on roads all over the Las Vegas Valley are "one-eyed cars." If they approach you from behind and your car has tinted windows, the vehicle can be perceived as a motorcycle. With the new increased speed limits, should you make a lane change, you could end up in a serious accident.
