Public should examine use of force by Metro officers

How well this phrase applies to those pro-Metro supporters, especially after the recent conviction of three Metro officers convicted of oppression. It wasn't too long ago that a black man named Charles Bush was murdered by Metro's "finest" in part because he was a good citizen who just happened to be in the wrong place -- his home. Metro claimed it was a case of "mistaken identity," but the public outcry brought much-needed attention to Metro's use of force. Today, it is happening again, and, like before, the public and the media need to raise the dark curtain on Metro cops' tactics, especially in their pursuit of apprehending both citizens and suspected criminals. We Las Vegans hear so much about Los Angeles Police officers' notorious actions -- maybe it's time we look at our own.
