Miguel G. Alvarez, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 8, 1922, in Mexico City. A seven-year resident, he was a head waiter.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; two sons, Mike A. Alvarez and Randolph Alvarez; one sister, Catalina Alvarez; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

MARY ELLEN BRICE

Mary Ellen Brice, 50, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 1, 1947, in Eugene, Ore. A six-year resident, she was a registered nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Peter Kalua; her parents, John and Elizabeth Brice; two brothers, Bill Brice and John Brice; and two sisters, Betsy and Debbie.

KENNETH ALLEN COMPTON

Kenneth Allen Compton, 64, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born June 7, 1933, in Lynnville, Tenn. A 14-year resident, he was an industrial engineer at Ethel M Chocolates and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Anna S.; one daughter, Susana C. Kenton, and one son, Shannon L. Compton, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Donald Compton of Atlanta and William Compton of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Potts of Huntsville, Ala., and Carolin Childress of Birmingham, Ala.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

PENNY RAE ENCE

Penny Rae Ence, 47, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 17, 1949, in St. George, Utah. A longtime resident, she was a Clark County School District elementary school teacher and a member of the Relief Society of the LDS Church.

She is survived by her husband, John; one son, Ryan Ence, three daughters, Emylee Ence, Eryka Ence and Eryn Ence, and her mother, Shirley Bauer, all of Las Vegas; and one brother, Brent Bauer of Susanville, Calif.

Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in the Hollywood and Stewart LDS Chapel. Burial will be in Santa Clara City Cemetery in Utah. Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

WILLIE L. EVANS

Willie L. Evans, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born July 1, 1930, in Athens, Ala. A 30-year resident, he was a service manager for General Tire.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie M.; one daughter, Cosby A. Ford of Las Vegas; two sons, Willie Clyde Malone and Willie James Evans, both of Athens; one brother, Roosevelt Evans, and two sisters, Eva Williams and Magnolia Swanson, all of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

NORA EVERETT

Nora Everett, 98, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 6, 1898, in Laurens, Iowa. A five-year resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Perley; one son, John Anderson of Phoenix; one daughter, Mary Olson of Las Vegas; one sister, Beryl Carrol of Kansas City, Kan.; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

PAULEEN C. FOUTZ

Pauleen C. Foutz, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 26, 1906, in Provo, Utah. A 57-year resident, she was a retired Family History Center director, a member of the Nevada American Revolution Bicentennial Commission, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Daughters of the American Colonists, Daughters of the Founders and Patriots of America and Children of the American Revolution, founding member of the Literary Club of Las Vegas, longtime contributing editor of the Beehive LDS newspaper, Sunday School teacher at the LDS Church and librarian for the LDS genealogical library in Las Vegas.

She is survived by one son, Dr. Lawrence C. Foutz of Las Vegas; three daughters, Elvadeen Anderson and Alicia Foutz, both of Las Vegas, and Pauleen Marie Zitzman of Munich, Germany; one brother, Ralph Moyle Cluff of Orem, Utah; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in the Viking LDS Ward Chapel.

COLIN ALEXANDER FYFE

Colin Alexander Fyfe, 51, of England died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 10, 1946, in England. A Las Vegas visitor, he was a managing director in the construction industry.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby.

Burial will be in London. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

INEZ GREEN

Inez Green, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born May 6, 1920, in Tallulah, La. A 50-year resident, she was a hotel employee.

She is survived by one stepdaughter, Bertha Green Brewer of San Diego; one sister, Willie B. Monroe of Las Vegas; one brother, Clarence Hawkins of Los Angeles; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Friday in Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

ARTHUR HALPERT

Arthur Halpert, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1918, in the Bronx, N.Y. A four-year resident, he was a retired garment manufacturer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah; three daughters, Laurie Hitzig of Short Hills, N.J., Beth Stupell of Framingham, Mass., and Sherri Halpert of Rochester, N.Y.; three sons, David Halpert of New York City, Robert Stupell of East Greenwich, R.I., and Alan Stupell of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; one sister, Bea Brody of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

WESLEY JOHNSON

Wesley Johnson, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1920, in New Orleans. A 3 1/2-year resident, he was a retired custodian supervisor and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Los Angeles.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M.; one daughter, Lillian M. Parker of Marrero, La.; one son, Wesley Johnson Jr. of New Orleans; two sisters, Earlean Cook and Bessie Johnson, both of Los Angeles; nieces, nephews and friends; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Betty Jane Lindsay, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born May 7, 1942, in Hammond, Ind. A seven-year resident, she was a gaming booth cashier.

She is survived by her husband, William; one son, Kent Lindsay of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one sister, Barbara Jean Fonfara of Las Vegas; two brothers, Lee Roy Trepton of Dyer, Ind., and Harold Trepton of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and one grandchild.

TOM MAXWELL

Tom Maxwell, 58, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 7, 1939, in Mount Vernon, N.Y. A 19-year resident, he was a retired Air Force technical sergeant and a Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; two daughters, Debra Schoneman of Alamo and Valerie Maxwell of Henderson; one son, Ronald Maxwell of Henderson; one brother, Dave Maxwell of Pittsburgh; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

STEPHEN M. MCKELLIPS

Stephen M. McKellips, 40, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 28, 1957, in Wellington, Kan. A 14-year resident, he was a mental health counselor.

He is survived by his parents, Harold M. and Shirley A. McKellips of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rebecca Brock of Olathe, Kan., and Leah Ruekberg of Leroy, N.Y.; and one brother, H. David McKellips of Tulsa, Okla.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the First Church of the Nazarene. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Raymond L. Osgood, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 17, 1927, in Hastings, Neb. A 12-year resident, he was a truck driver and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; and two brothers, Lawrence Osgood and Meryl Osgood.

HOWARD R. PALMER

Howard R. Palmer, 72, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 21, 1925, in Jenoa, N.Y. A 32-year resident, he was a metallurgical engineer for a specialty metal manufacturer, a World War II Air Force veteran, a member and past president of the Henderson Rotary, the Henderson Kiwanis and the Black Mountain Country Club and member and past district deputy of the Henderson Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M.; three daughters, Anne Michaels of Novato, Calif., Janice Pickryl of Tulsa, Okla., and Patricia Biunno of Las Vegas; five sons, Kenneth Palmer of Santa Margarita, Calif., Joseph Palmer of Ashland, Ky., Howard A. Palmer of Boulder, Colo., and Paul Palmer and Michael Palmer, both of Round Rock, Texas; five sisters, Maxine Kelly, Joyce Petrie, June Rice and Mary Corby, all of New York, and Barbara Lagana of Florida; and 18 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Henderson.

E. June Prudhomme, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 28, 1924, in Eniat, Wash. A four-year resident, she was a retired telecommunications service representative.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Bean of Las Vegas and Carol Kazmierczak of Tecumseh, Mich.; two sisters, Jean Baptie of Magalia, Calif., and Catharine Boortz of Joshua Tree, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional services will be noon until 2 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Roberto Sanchez, 49, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 25, 1948, in Cuba. A six-year resident, he was an accountant.

He is survived by one daughter, Diana Sanchez of Cuba; his mother, Francisca Sanchez, and three brothers, Jose Louis, Marcelino and Orlando, all of Las Vegas; six sisters, Maria Luisa, Blanca and Maria Antonio, all of Cuba, and Justa, Bertha and Nora, all of Miami.

Donald Thieda, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A 14-year resident, he was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Detroit.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Donna Hennessy, and two sons, David Thieda and Doug Thieda, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Jones. A private burial will follow.
