The Clark County coroner has identified the body of a woman found near Sam Boyd Stadium earlier this month as Elvia McGuire, a 24-year-old Las Vegas resident. She was found dead in the wetlands just north of the stadium by a Clark County Sanitation project worker on the morning of Dec. 10.
McGuire is believed to have died from being hit in the head, and was last seen alive on Oct. 21, police said.
McGuire lived and worked in east Las Vegas in the area of Pecos Road and Green Valley Parkway.
Anyone with information about the disappearance or murder of McGuire is asked to call homicide detectives at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
