LaJuana K. Belvin

LaJuana K. Belvin, 37, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 11, 1962, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by two sons, LaVaghan, LaQuan and LaJai, all of Las Vegas; her parents, Esther Belvin of Las Vegas; her father, Andy Belvin, and one brother, Emil Belvin, both of Los Angeles; two sisters, Delphine Lakes of Las Vegas and Anita Belvin of Los Angeles; and her grandmother, Judy Belvin of Georgia.

Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will be in California.

Bob Melvin Bradley

Bob Melvin Bradley, 59, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1940, in Fort Worth, Texas. A resident for one year, he was a publisher of a gem communication.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Loyce Bradley; two sons, Rex Howard Bradley of Las Vegas and Sean Erin Bradley of New Milford, Conn.; one daughter, Juliette Bradley of New Milford; his mother, Mary Alice Cox Baker of Dallas; five sisters, Terri, Lisa, Sandra, Karen and Anne, all of Texas; one brother, the Rev. Bruce Bradley of Farmers Branch, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Kathleen Bryan

Kathleen Bryan, 85, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 21, 1914, in Missouri, A resident for four years, she was a telephone communications representative.

She is survived by one son, Barry Smith of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Douglas Francis Camire

Douglas Francis Camire, 35, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 12, 1964, in California. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a maintenance worker.

He is survived by three brothers, Arthur Camire of Utah, Bruce Camire of California and Craig Camire; and one sister, Rene Camire Ross of California.

Wayne Conway Clarkson

Wayne Conway Clarkson, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 5, 1933, in Virginia. A resident for several months, he was a night auditor.

He is survived by one brother, David Lee Clarkson of Virginia.

Robert Eugene Cox

Robert Eugene Cox, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Death Valley, Calif. He was born Nov. 10, 1925. A resident for 12 years, he was a casino director.

He is survived by his wife, Isabelle; three sons, Ronald Robert Cox of Santa Cruz, Calif., Randolph M. Cox of San Diego and Dr. David Leonardi of Las Vegas; two daughters, Graciella Reo of Los Angeles and Lisa Leonardi of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Mary L. Glass

Mary L. Glass, 71, of Laughlin died Saturday in Laughlin. She was born March 13, 1928, in California. A resident for many years, she was a retail clerk.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Sr.; two sons, Earl Glass Jr. of Dana Point, Calif., and David M. Glass of Riverside, Calif.; one daughter, Mary K. Hyde of Laughlin; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Frank D. Hanzo

Frank D. Hanzo, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 13, 1935, in Coshocton, Ohio. A resident for two years, he was a retired plumber.

He is survived by one son, Tod Alan Hanzo of Longview, Texas; and one brother, Charles Hanzo of Pasadena, Calif.

Felicisimo Herrera

Felicisimo Herrera, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 24, 1909, in the Philippines. A resident for six years, he was a civil engineer, a World War II POW and a member of the Knights of Columbus in the Philippines.

He is survived by his wife, Leonora; three sons, Felicisimo Herrera Jr. of the Philippines, Roberto Herrera of New Mexico and Gerardo Herrera of Virginia; three daughters, Elena Soriano of the Philippines and Gene Recto and Anna Herrera, both of Las Vegas; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way.

Maria Teresa Martinez

Maria Teresa Martinez, 39, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 2, 1960, in Mexico. A resident for two years, she was a factory worker.

She is survived by three brothers, Francisco Martinez of Camarillo, Calif., and Rodrigo Martinez and Juan Manuel Martinez, both of Filmore, Calif.; five sisters, Lourdes Ramirez of Salt Lake City, Sara Estrada and Gillermina Rodriguez, both of Las Vegas, Ernstina Nino of Filmore and Alicia Cruz of Mexico.

Burial will be in California. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Evelyn Mateik

Evelyn Mateik, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 10, 1921, in New Hampshire. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired hotel waitress.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Harrington of Henderson and Jo-Ann Mateik of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Howard J. McClelland

Howard J. McClelland, 57, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1942, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired truck driver, a Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by his wife, Judith A.; two daughters, Laura Milheim and Beverly Babbitt, both of Henderson; four sisters, Betty Winn of Tempe, Ariz., Lois Ruhnau and Janet Cobb, both of Henderson, and Arlene Ballard of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Robert Morgan, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 12, 1931, in Arizona. A resident for many years, he was a construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Arizona.

Gary E. Slinkard, 56, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 15, 1943, in California. A resident for 12 years, he was employed by Chevron and was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Irma; three sons, James of Saugus, Calif., and Charles and Alex, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Marjorie Latta Phelan Spreen

Marjorie Latta Phelan Spreen, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 9, 1911, in Paterson, N.J. A resident for one year, she was a retired real estate agent.

She is survived by one son, Charles E. Phelan of Newbern, N.C.; one daughter, Barbara Cortright of Green Pond, N.J.; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Alberta Thompson

Alberta Thompson, 89, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 13, 1910, in New Edinburg, Ark. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker and a former member of the Ladies Moose Lodge.

She is survived by three daughters, Nadine Updike of Long Beach, Calif., Jackie Thompson of Kent, Wash., and Deborah Burris of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rachel Hinesly of Hot Springs, Ark., and Geraldine Trammell of Pine Bluff, Ark.; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Morris Tischler

Morris Tischler, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 4, 1906, in New York City. A resident for five years, he was a retired furrier.

He is survived by two daughters, Marilynn Emmer and Barbara Shoemaker, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Ruby Tischler of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and one grandchild.

Graveside services were 1 p.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Nancy H. Tupper

Nancy H. Tupper, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1925, in Castana, Iowa. A resident for 46 years, she was a real estate broker, worked with United Way, was director of the March of Dimes, president of the the Red Rock PTA, a member of the Greater Las Vegas Board of Realtors and spent one year on the board of directors, was a Girl Scout leader and served on the Professional Standards and Grievance Committee.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Tupper of New Mexico and Michele Brown of Las Vegas; one son, Michael Tupper of Idaho; her mother, Vada Hastings, and two brothers, William Hastings and Michael Hastings, all of California; three sisters, Sally Yount and Avis Hacker, both of California, and Kathleen Telfer of Oregon; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Thursday in Floyd Lamb State Park. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Shirley Ann Washington

Shirley Ann Washington, 56, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born July 30, 1943, in Magnolia, Ark. A resident for 48 years, she was an inspectress.

She is survived by one daughter, Ladonna Washington of Las Vegas; two sons, Kevin Washington of Las Vegas and Dereck Washington of San Jacinto, Calif.; four stepchildren; her parents, Ether and John Jacobs of Las Vegas; two sisters, Raedean Jacobs and Betty Jasper, both of Las Vegas; five brothers, Billy Ray Jacobs of Peoria, Ill., and Henry Jacobs, Bobby Joe Jacobs, Jerry Jacobs and James Paul Jacobs, all of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas, is handling arrangements.

Orval Williams

Orval Williams, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 28, 1920, in El Centro, Calif. A resident for 14 years, he was a roofer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; two sons, Dennis Williams of San Francisco and Randall Williams of Las Vegas; three daughters, Lynn Houben and Candi Erazmus, both of Las Vegas, and Lani Ritze of San Francisco; two brothers, Carl Williams and Tunny Williams, both of Browley, Calif.; one sister, Mary Ann Jopes of Upland, Calif.; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

William C. Zorn

William C. Zorn, 77, of Boulder City died Thursday in Boulder City. He was born March 1, 1922, in Canada. A resident for 11 years, he was a camera technician for a movie studio and a World War II Royal Canadian Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vicki; one stepson, Russell Maynard of Washington state; four sisters, and three brothers, all of Canada; two granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
