William Adams

William Adams, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1926, in Detroit. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired salesman and a World War II Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; one son, Randy Adams, and one daughter, Carole Adams Hattar, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Walter Adams of Las Vegas and Vincent Adams of Grosse Pointe, Mich.; and one grandchild.

Visitation is private. Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Stephen Anthony Baca

Stephen Anthony Baca, 51, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 16, 1949, in Roy, N.M. A resident for 10 years, he was a hotel executive chef.

He is survived by his wife, Jamie A.; one son, S. Christopher Baca, and one daughter, Gabrielle V. Baca, both of Las Vegas; his parents, Annie and Secundino Baca, and three sisters, Irma Arragon, Theresa Montoya and Gloria Baca, all of Albuquerque, N.M.; and five brothers, Herman Baca of Anderson, Calif., and Rudy Baca, Alvin Baca, Dino Baca and Mario Baca, all of Albuquerque.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. today in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to a memorial trust set up in his children's names at Washington Mutual Bank.

Mike Brooks

Mike Brooks, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 21, 1939, in San Gabriel, Calif. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired barber and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Henneforth and Kim Somerville, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Patricia Rios and Veronica Thau of North Hollywood, Calif.; one brother, Victor Brooks Jr. of Hollywood, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Gladys M. Busija

Gladys M. Busija, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, David Busija of Winston-Salem, N.C.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Monroeville, Pa. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Ann Calhoon

Ann Calhoon, 85, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born May 3, 1915, in Sedalia, Mo. A resident for 66 years, she was a retired sales checker.

She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Carter of Henderson; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Estelle Ann Irwin

Estelle Ann Irwin, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born July 14, 1922, in Illinois. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Martin; three sons, Gerald, Donald and Daniel; three daughters, Annette, Sonia and Cynthia; one sister, Carol; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. services Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Elizabeth J. Kingsbury

Elizabeth J. Kingsbury, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 10, 1921, in Nebraska. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired restaurateur and a member of the Pahrump Loyal Order of the Moose.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Pannel of Pingree, Idaho; one brother, Leonard Cuthbert of Charleston View, Calif.; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be in Idaho. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Michele Ann 'Mickey' Miller

Michele Ann "Mickey" Miller, 58, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born April 11, 1942, in Altoona, Pa. A resident for 26 years, she was a telephone operator for a local telephone answering service.

She is survived by her husband, Harry; four daughters, Fawn Miller of Defiance, Ohio, and Anastasia Silipo, Deborah Miller and Barbara Miller, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Terry Barr of Altoona; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Norman Pace

Norman Pace, 39, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 3, 1961, in Michigan. A resident for 22 years, he was a hotel bartender.

He is survived by two brothers, Robert C. Pace of Michigan and Kenneth J. Pace of Las Vegas; one sister, Mellisa Lewis, and his grandmother, Marie Wilson, both of Michigan.

Dorothy Perroni

Dorothy Perroni, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 11, 1917, in St. Louis. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Darcy of Las Vegas; two brothers, Harry Heitland of Belleville, Ill., and John Heitland of Missouri; five sisters, Agatha Bein of Florida and Mary Benoist, Audrey Weiss, Margaret Patrico and Estelle Hettenhausen, all of Missouri; and one grandson.

Nina Odette Shelton

Nina Odette Shelton, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 17, 1924, in Kansas. A resident for 1 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Comparoni of Las Vegas and Mary Harmon of Chico, Calif.; one brother, Maurice Lutz of Santa Maria, Calif.; one sister, Jeanette Pierce of Lodi, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Robert Wade Stiel

Robert Wade Stiel, 44, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 28, 1956, in Paterson, N.J. A resident for 20 years, he was a plumber, a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of Operating Engineers Union Local 501 and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Stiel, and his ex-wife, Sandra Stiel, both of Las Vegas; his mother, June Portnoy of North Vancouver, British Columbia; one sister, Cathi of Las Vegas; and one brother, Daniel Stiel of Long Beach, Calif.

Minnie Tannenbaum

Minnie Tannenbaum, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a nursing home. She was born May 14, 1914, in Huntington, N.Y. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Herman; three daughters, Lois Mazgaj of Las Vegas, Elaine Tannenbaum of New York City and Iris Bergman of Garnerville, N.Y.; one son, Charles Lehrer of San Diego; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Dorothy I. Wiemers

Dorothy I. Wiemers, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 9, 1936, in St. Michaels, Neb. A resident for 30 years, she was a gaming floor supervisor.

She is survived by two sons, Orville Wiemers Jr. and Don Wiemers, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Betty Hather of Skagway, Alaska; and five grandchildren.

Donna J. Wilson, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 13, 1932, in Rochester, Minn. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Willard G.; one daughter, Lori Bagshaw of Las Vegas; three sons, Raymond Wilson, Steven Wilson and Mark Wilson, all of Rochester; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Richard 'Gene' Younger

Richard "Gene" Younger, 60, of Henderson died Saturday in a local care center. He was born March 23, 1940, in Denver. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired meat cutter at a grocery store and a member of Meat Cutters Local 711.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice; one daughter, Kimberly Floth of Henderson; his mother, June Gunn, and two sisters, Sandy Hammerschmidt and Karen Gann, all of Long Beach, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
