Erle Grey Ashley

Erle Grey Ashley, 60, of Las Vegas died May 23 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1941, in Memphis, Tenn. A resident for 35 years, he was a cook and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Virginia Ashley of Las Vegas; two sisters, Reba Long of Salesville, Ark., and Toni Thompson of Millington, Tenn.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Willie E. Brown

Willie E. Brown, 58, of Las Vegas died Monday in a California hospital. He was born Dec. 31, 1942, in Forest, Miss. A resident for 26 years, he was a boxing trainer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by five daughters, Meda Robinson and Alicia Golden, both of Chicago, and Tory Carter, Deon Garbutt and Barbara Tremmell-Sanders, all of Las Vegas; four sons, Walter Goodrum and Reaul Flanagan, both of Las Vegas, Alexander Goodrum of Tucson, Ariz., and Bobby Dupree-Brown of Plain Dealing, La.; two brothers, James Farrell of Indianapolis and Larry Brown of New York City; two sisters, Ethel Virgil and Irene Mitchell, both of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Southern Baptist Church, 1600 E. Cartier Ave. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.

Edward Paul Bull

Edward Paul Bull, 85, of Las Vegas died June 13 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 14, 1915, in Wisconsin. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel who had served as a B-17 pilot in the 91st Bomber Group.

He is survived by his wife, T. Irene; one son, Steve Bull; and one Daughter, Mary Ann Williamson.

Robert Dean Burrage

Robert Dean Burrage, 32, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 5, 1969, in Kingman, Ariz. A resident for 10 years, he was a hotel bartender.

He is survived by his father, Cecil Burrage Sr. of Black Canyon, Ariz.; his mother, Nordean Burrage, and four brothers, Larry Burrage, Cecil Burrage Jr., Ray Burrage and Fred Burrage, all of Arizona; five sisters, Kathie Eastwood and Darlene Hatch, both of Arizona, Alice Krug of Las Vegas and Deborah Chessley and April Durant, both of Texas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Black Canyon. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Sharon Dean Bush

Sharon Dean Bush, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 7, 1947, in Arizona. A resident for 42 years, she was a retail saleswoman and a member of Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by one son, Robert; three daughters, Sherrie, Monique and Angelique; her mother, Alma; two brothers, Dean and Jay; one sister, Valeria; and 12 grandchildren.

Carl V. Canzanese Jr.

Carl V. Canzanese Jr., 46, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 21, 1954, in New Jersey. A resident for many years, he was a laborer in the construction industry and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his parents, Carl V. and Isabella Canzanese of New Jersey.

James Carter

James Carter, 41, of Las Vegas died June 14 in a local care center. He was born Feb. 27, 1960, in Newellton, La. A resident for five years, he was a freelance mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; three sons; one daughter; three sisters; and two brothers.

Vincent Ciaravino Jr.

Vincent Ciaravino, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Detroit. A resident for five years, he was a police officer.

He is survived by one sister, Jackie May of Michigan; four brothers, Sam, Peter and John, all of Michigan, and Tony.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Michigan. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Goldie Comito

Goldie Comito, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 10, 1911, in Romania. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired payroll officer for an automobile parts manufacturer.

She is survived by one son, Marty Jacobs of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Cemetery. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Jane Ann Cottonwood

Jane Ann Cottonwood, 67, of Beatty died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 30, 1933, in Indiana, Pa. A resident for 52 years, she owned and operated Janda Ribbons in Beatty.

She is survived by her husband, Ted "Bombo"; and two daughters, Bunny Allen and Penny Schmidhofer, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Saturday in Beatty High School. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Beatty Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ann M. Ferguson

Ann M. Ferguson, 88, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 25, 1912, in Hartford, Conn. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Tops in Henderson.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara McDaniel of Henderson and Sally Adams of Canoga Park, Calif.; one son, Steve Ferguson of Henderson; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled until 7 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Luis Enrique Garcia-Verdugo

Luis Enrique Garcia-Verdugo, 36, of North Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. He was born March 16, 1965, in Mexico. A resident for one year, he was a laborer in the construction industry.

He is survived by one son, Eden Corrales of Phoenix; and one sister, Gloria Garcia-Verdugo of Mexico.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Lourdes Maia Gianikos

Lourdes Maia Gianikos, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 29, 1926, in Brazil. A resident for 39 years, she was a music teacher and singer who performed on radio, television and the stage, including the Silver Palace and the old Dunes hotel in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Nicholas; and two sisters, Lucia Campos Alves and Dinah Campos Gordo.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the LDS chapel, 1745 Polaris Ave. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Rena Kay Glover

Rena Kay Glover, 50, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 3, 1950, in Georgetown, Texas. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jodie; and her parents, Doyle L. and Rowena Stone of Texas.

Dovie C. Harts

Dovie C. Harts, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 8, 1932, in Thornton, Ark. A resident for 53 years, she was a retired hotel status board operator.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Marshall III.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Marks of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Michael Marks of Las Vegas; one daughter, Marsha Marks, and one sister, Versie Key, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Edward Childs of Fort Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Stella H. Hoshowsky

Stella H. Hoshowsky, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 26, 1917, in New York. A resident for 18 years, she was an assembly worker for General Motors.

She is survived by one son, William C. Hastings; one brother, Auggy; and three grandchildren.

Elzbieta Gizela Karnas

Elzbieta Gizela Karnas, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born July 25, 1947, in Poland. A resident for seven years, she was a housekeeper.

She is survived by her husband, Mieczyslaw; one daughter, Anna Karnas of Poland; and one sister, Gigi Pataki of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Jonathan T. Latimer Jr.

Jonathan T. Latimer Jr., 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1938, in Pine Bluff, Ark. A resident for six years, he was a former college professor and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Drake Latimer; two daughters, Helen M. Latimer of Glen Cove, N.Y., and Tamieka Brown of Charleston, S.C.; one son, Jonathan T. Latimer III of Baldwin, N.Y.; his mother, Helen C. Eagleson of Washington, D.C.; and three grandchildren.

Walter J. Long

Walter J. Long, 82, of Boulder City died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 19, 1919, in Canada. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired executive vice president of an electronics firm, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Elks Lodge 1682.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel; four sons, Stephen Long of Upland, Calif., David Long of Wrightwood, Calif., Rob Long of Fontana, Calif., and Thomas Long of Ontario, Calif.; one sister, Margaret Hart of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; one brother, Everett Long of Fontana; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A wake is scheduled at 6 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew's. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Katherine Sabrina Lynn Mills

Katherine Sabrina Lynn Mills, 30 weeks, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 2000, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her mother, Tia Mills, her father, Lance Proehl, and two sisters, Yakyra Mills and Dylon Mills, all of Las Vegas; her grandparents, Katherine Kirby and Peggy Proehl, both of Las Vegas, and Joseph Mills of Baltimore; and her great-grandmother, Mary Thomas of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Marshall 'Sarge' Nunn

Marshall "Sarge" Nunn, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Los Angeles. A resident for 50 years, he retired as a sergeant from the Nevada Highway Patrol in 1981 after 29 years of service and was a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patty; one daughter, Linda Crisp of Hendersonville, N.C.; one son, Ricky Nunn of Elko; one brother, Elbert Nunn of Roseville, Calif.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. June 29 in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

George A. Russell Sr.

George A. Russell Sr., 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 17, 1918, in Ashland, Neb. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired head custodian and an Army Air Corps master sergeant and World War II veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita B.; three sons, George A. Russell Jr. of Omaha, Neb., Danny K. Russell of Yucaipa, Calif., and Ricky J. Russell of Las Vegas; three sisters, Violet Washburn of York, Neb., Laura Linares of Long Beach, Calif., and Donna Gibson of Nashville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Anna Kaye Skinner

Anna Kaye Skinner, 63, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 10, 1937, in New Mexico. A resident for 35 years, she was a title supervisor for Fairway Chevrolet.

She is survived by one daughter, Metra Skinner of North Las Vegas; and two brothers, Eugene deValera of Montgomery, Ala., and Texceria Francis deValera of Simi Valley, Calif.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Richard Wayne Southern

Richard Wayne Southern, 73, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Kansas. A resident for 11 years, he was an iron worker and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Sandra Tate of Alturas, Calif.; one brother, Leland Southern of Oregon; and three grandchildren.

Frank Tassello

Frank Tassello, 57, of Las Vegas, died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 19, 1943, in East St. Louis, Ill. A resident for 21 years, he was an accountant.

He is survived by his wife, Patti; two daughters, Toni Greer of Missouri and Debbie Wolf of St. Louis; two sons, Steve Gemoules of Springfield, Ill., and Michael Moore; one sister, Elizabeth Pirtle of Fairview Heights, Ill., and nine grandchildren.

William H. Whiting, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. An electrician and a World War II Army veteran, he was born Aug. 10, 1921, in Washougal, Wash.

Wilfred L. Williams I, 67, of Las Vegas died June 14 in North Las Vegas. He was born May 1, 1934, in Wortham, Texas. A resident for 37 years, he was a hotel porter.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; three daughters, Debra Perry and Bridgette Graham, both of Las Vegas, and Dyann Williams of Dover, Del.; four sons, Tony Graham, Artist Graham, Andre Graham and Wilfred L.
