Anthony P. Albano

Anthony P. Albano, 82, of Henderson died Nov. 28 in a local hospital. He was born May 15, 1921, in Gates Township, N.Y. A resident for 17 years, he retired as a plant manager in the dairy products industry after 48 years and was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; four brothers, Frank Albano and Ralph Albano, both of Rochester, N.Y., and Philip Albano and Robert Albano, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Kathleen Onorato of Rochester.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Rhonda Anderson

Rhonda Anderson, 43, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 14, 1960, in Caliente. A lifelong Nevada resident, she was a laundromat manager.

She is survived by one daughter, Janicey Estepp of Las Vegas; her mother, Dixie Peterson of Caliente; and her father, Carl Douglas Peterson.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Caliente. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Norma Jean Bennett

Norma Jean Bennett, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Texas. A resident for 10 years, she was a dial clerk for the telephone company.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Ray; one son, Cleveland Hendrick III, and two daughters, Johma Jeanette Tyler and Ruby Jean Bustamante, all of Texas; one sister, Alberta Simpson of California; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Joseph 'Doc' Casel

Joseph "Doc" Casel, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired casino executive and former partner at the El Cortez.

He is survived by one brother, Henry Casel of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. until noon services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Yvette Malvina Cote

Yvette Malvina Cote, 78, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 23, 1925, in Montreal. A resident for 18 years, she was a proofreader, a member of the Pink Ladies at Boulder City Hospital, a volunteer aide for Meals on Wheels and the Senior Center of Boulder City.

She is survived by one daughter, Johanne Harrington of Castaic, Calif.; one son, Michael Cote of Boulder City; and two grandsons.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, is handling arrangements.

Russell 'Bud' Dansby

Russell "Bud" Dansby, 86, of Boulder City died Tuesday in Boulder City. He was born May 6, 1917, in Wayland Village, Mich. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired upholsterer and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Bonnie McClure of Sanger, Calif.; one sister, Frances Berry, and one brother, Ward Dansby, both of Michigan; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Paul E. Dowler

Paul E. Dowler, 65, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1938, in Athens County, Ohio. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired electrical supervisor for the city government, an Army veteran, a member of the Teamsters Union and Boulder City Men's Golf Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Tami Campbell of Henderson; one son, Scot Dowler of Redding, Calif.; one half-sister, Tori Jolley of Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be noon Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Christ Lutheran Church, 111 N. Torrey Pines Drive.

Jeffrey F. Farnsworth

Jeffrey F. Farnsworth, 32, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A truck driver, he was born March 19, 1971, in Illinois.

He is survived by his mother, Rose Folliard of Elmhurst, Ill.; and his father, Guy Farnsworth of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Christian A. Hobbs

Christian A. Hobbs, 25, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 2, 1978, in New York. A resident for 20 years, he was a hotel valet parker.

He is survived by his father, Jerald Hobbs of Las Vegas; his mother, Dianne Lewis of West Virginia; four brothers, Jerry Hobbs of New York and Bryne Hobbs, Joe Alexander and Fredrick Lewis, all of Las Vegas; and four sisters, Parkrr Vargas, Sabra Hobbs and Arianna Hobbs, all of Las Vegas, and Anjleke Hobbs of Philadelphia.

Visitation is scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will be private.

Rosalie Mae Laxton

Rosalie Mae Laxton, 62, of Las Vegas died Nov. 28. She was born July 14, 1941, in South Bend, Ind. A resident for 26 years, she was a hotel laundry supervisor.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Jaye Illes and Frederick Van Scoyk.

She is survived by two daughters, Victoria R. Callender and Dawn M. Laxton, and her mother, Clara Matejovsky, all of Las Vegas; her companion, Feliciano Pina; and four grandchildren.

Richard A. Mayer

Richard A. Mayer, 87, of Las Vegas died Nov. 27 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Stackport, N.Y. A resident for 20 yearsf he was an engineer for an electrical contracting company.

He is survived by one brother, Ernest C. Mayer of Sun City, Ariz.

Benjamin M. 'Beau' McGill

Benjamin M. "Beau" McGill, 43, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born June 27, 1960, in St. Augustine, Fla. A resident for 15 years, he was a rehabilitation therapist in the child-care industry.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; two daughters, Stacie Lopez and Ashley McGill, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Sharon Andersen of Las Vegas and Kim Martin of Knoxville, Tenn.; his mother, Connie Palomino of Wells; two brothers, Eddie Yoakum of Walland, Tenn., and Michael McGill of Indian Springs; and two grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mary H. McKinney

Mary H. McKinney, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 30, 1910, in Illinois. A resident for 65 years, she was a schoolteacher.

She is survived by one son, Nichols McKinney; and one sister, Sue Schenk of Illinois.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Christ Church Episcopal, 2100 S. Maryland Parkway. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Joyce Moranski

Joyce Moranski, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 29, 1941, in Milwaukee. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired hotel-casino soft count supervisor.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Hardin of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Priscilla Mutschler

Priscilla Mutschler, 100, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 13, 1903, in Ireland. A resident for many years, she was a payroll accountant for Macy's.

She is survived by two grandnieces, Aileen Hofer of Las Vegas and Katherine of California; one nephew, Charles Cayton of Las Vegas; and three great-grandnieces.

Mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Carleen Larcell McCullum

Carleen Larcell McCullum, 48, of Las Vegas died Friday in Sacramento. An Army veteran and a secretary in education, she was born May 22, 1955, in Mississippi.

She is survived by five brothers, Harry Lawson of Las Vegas, Isaac McCullum of Aurora, Colo., James M. McCullum of North Las Vegas, Robert Malone of Rackerby, Calif., and Burl Malone of Union City, Calif.; and six sisters, Ona Wells of Sacramento, Ann Schickel of Long Beach, Calif., Blanche Moore of Oakland, Calif., Maggie Towns of North Las Vegas and Deloris Gordon and Bessie Braggs, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 p.m. Saturday in Macedonia Baptist Church, 2600 Clayton St., North Las Vegas. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jean Marie Newsom

Jean Marie Newsom, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 19, 1923, in San Francisco. A resident for 67 years, she was a retired owner of an art gallery and frame shop.

She is survived by two sons, Roger D. Newsom and Ron E. Newsom, and one brother, John Ullom, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

John C. Oney

John C. Oney, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 3, 1918, in Ohio. A resident for six years, he was a retired construction technician, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Masons and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by three daughters, Yvette Spindler and Sandra Topper, both of Indiana, and Judy Pierce of Las Vegas; two brothers, Raymond Oney and Jack Oney; three sisters, Delores Greenhill, Virginia Carver and Irene Callihan; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Tuesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Shirley Thompson

Shirley Thompson, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 2, 1926, in Cincinnati. A resident for 43 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Darcy Coon of Las Vegas; three sisters, Betty Gailey and Lynn Present, both of Ohio, and Peggy Wilkerson of Texas; two brothers, Bill Dixon and Max Dixon, both of Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Monday in the LDS Serene chapel. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Dana S. Wohlers

Dana S. Wohlers, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 7, 1952, in Alhambra, Calif. A resident for 35 years, he was a hotel bellman and a member of the Culinary Union for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte "Charlie"; one daughter, Cassie Ainsworth, one son, Ryan C. Wohlers, and one brother, Rand Wohlers, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
