Robert E. Autry

Robert E. Autry, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 27, 1931, in Mississippi. A resident for seven years, he was a retired production manager for a furniture manufacturer and a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E.; three sons; two stepsons; one stepdaughter; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the benevolent fund or the helping hands fund at Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive., Las Vegas, NV 89128.

Dupree L. Davis

Dupree L. Davis, 34, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 7, 1969, in Illinois. A resident for 15 years, he was a minister at Bread of Life.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen; three sons, Donald Kline, Marquise Snowden and Dupree Davis Jr., and three daughters, Taneya Warren, Tequila Davis and Delijah Davis, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Rebecca Davis, and two sisters, Mookey Davis and Keekee Bailey, all of Illinois; two brothers, Kendrick Davis of Illinois and Peewee Davis of Las Vegas; and his grandmother, Rosie Bailey of Louisiana.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 6:30 p.m. service today at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Vernon Eatman Sr.

Vernon Eatman Sr., 50, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 6, 1953, in Alabama. A resident for one year, he was a custodian and a varsity basketball player.

He is survived by his wife, Renee two sons, Vernon Jr. and Robert; one daughter, Elisha; one brother, Ronald; his mother, Buena Vista; and eight grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Daryl D. Hicks

Daryl D. Hicks, 25, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 1, 1978, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his father, Daryl McCollum, his mother, Joyce D. Hicks, one brother, Gerimar D. Hicks, and his grandmother, Blossie Hicks, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today at American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Margaret McKelvey Hines

Margaret McKelvey Hines, 81, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 6, 1922, in Pennsylvania. A resident for eight years, she was a county government bookkeeper.

She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn McKelvey of Henderson, Deanna Rocha of Inglewood, Calif., and Virginia McKelvey of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; one son, William McKelvey of North Las Vegas; one brother, Roy Rogers of Penn Hills, Pa.; one sister, Ruth O'Connor of Carnegie, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-4 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be in Riverside, Calif.

Alide P. Kaugurs

Alide P. Kaugurs, 85, of Las Vegas died Dec. 19 in Las Vegas. A resident for 11 years, she was born March 10, 1918, in Europe.

She is survived by one son, Peter Kaugurs of Las Vegas; one brother, Valdis Koch of Florida; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Marylene Killings

Marylene Killings, 56, of Las Vegas died Dec. 18 in Las Vegas. A resident for 48 years, she was born June 20, 1947, in Louisiana.

She is survived by three daughters, Valerie Dixon, Sabrina Waters and Ramona McCloud, her mother, Elizabeth Clark, and three sisters, Rebecca Williams, Leona Williams and Lee Etta Washington, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Henry Dixon of Las Vegas and Albert Evans of California; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. Sunday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

John Meador

John Meador, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born Oct. 28, 1914, in Jefferson, Mo. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired security officer.

He is survived by his wife, Mable; two daughters, Kathy Craig of Salt Lake City and Peggy Meador of Las Vegas; three brothers; one sister; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Nellie Louise Oskins

Nellie Louise Oskins, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 25, 1918, in Centralia, Wash. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired legal secretary and a member of the wives of U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II.

She is survived by two sons, John L. Oskins Jr. of Las Vegas and Michael Oskins of Las Vegas; one sister, Grace Rudig of Centralia; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10-11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jerome Potasky

Jerome Potasky, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born May 5, 1926, in Ohio. A resident for 12 years, he was a jeweler and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Nancy Potasky-Stein and Joni Potasky.

Sidney Charles Price

Sidney Charles Price, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. An aerospace engineer, he was born April 8, 1916, in England.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen L.; one son, David Price; and one daughter, Moira Price.

Visitation is scheduled at 4 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home.

Karen Theresa Rogers

Karen Theresa Rogers, 45, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born May 5, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for 16 years, she was a medical reviewer for an insurance company.

She is survived by one daughter, Krista Amos, and one son, J. Dale Amos, both of Henderson; her parents, John and Theresa Rogers, and her companion, Bryn Thorsen, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Laura Waller of Glendale, Ariz., and Linda Rogers of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

The family suggests donations to the Maxine Duntz Neurological Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles.

Detra S. Ross

Detra S. Ross, 29, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was born Dec. 28, 1973, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by four sons, Torrie Walker, Nelman Carroll, Marcel Carroll and Treveion Ross, her mother, Rosie Marie Ross, one brother, Al Ross, and two sisters, Terri L. Coward and Tamra Riggs, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Darlene J. Rue

Darlene J. Rue, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born June 18, 1933, in Crete, Neb. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph L.; one son, Joseph L. Rue II of Nevada; one daughter, Laurella Vee Miller of Colorado; one brother, Ronald Eugene Henning of Texas; one sister, Patsy Ann Rogers of Wyoming; and two grandchildren.

David Stovall

David Stovall, 23, of Las Vegas died Dec. 19. He was born July 28, 1980, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 14 years, he was a security officer.

He is survived by one son, David Isaac Stovall, one daughter, Jada Stovall, and his mother, Wendy Assadi, all of Las Vegas; his father, Harry Stovall of Houston; one brother, Matthew Stovall, and two sisters, Shadia Jones and Jasmine Stovall, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Main.

Benjamin Lewis Taylor Jr.

Benjamin Lewis Taylor Jr., 62, of Las Vegas died Dec. 19 in Las Vegas. A dealer, he was born Oct. 25, 1941, in Alsatia, La.

He is survived by one daughter, Leeshur Taylor, and his mother, Lucille Taylor, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Nelson Taylor and Larry Taylor, both of Las Vegas and Edward Taylor of Reno; and one sister, Barbara Taylor of Kansas City, Kan.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Monday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Albino T. Velasco

Albino T. Velasco, 78, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born March 1, 1925, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for three years, he was a retired sales manager for a construction company.

He is survived by his wife, Sachiko Toyama Velasco; one daughter, Barbara Ploke of North Las Vegas; one son, Jerry Velasco of Honolulu; one sister, Clemencia Sobrepena of the Philippines; and three grandchildren.
