Mesquite’s big four casinos

The CasaBlanca is the city's premier resort. Designed and built in 1995 by a partnership that included talk show host Merv Griffin and Players International Inc., Randy Black Sr. bought the property in 1997.

The 550-seat showroom features nationally known headliners Friday and Saturday nights. Outdoor pools surrounded by private bungalows, a full-service beauty salon, a spa featuring a complete range of massages and other therapies and a championship golf course are among the highlights at The CasaBlanca.

For more information call (800) 459-7529.

Black also owns the neighboring Oasis.

The Cabaret Lounge at the Oasis offers live music nightly, but the small bar doesn't have a dance floor. Dancing is reserved for Club Xtreme, on the second floor of the casino, from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The Oasis features the Palms golf course and the Ultimate Spa Sanctuary, where guests may receive massages, facials and body care treatment.

The Eureka also sports a spa, where guests can experience a variety of massages, ranging from deep tissue to Swedish to reflexology. There is entertainment five nights a week in the Cactus Bar, including karaoke from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and a rotating roster of bands Wednesdays through Sundays. The Virgin River casino offers the standard fare of slot machines and table games and a sports book. Eight sessions of bingo are played daily, beginning at 9 a.m.

Adult entertainment consists of live music and dancing in the Virgin River Lounge from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

There are four movie theaters, an arcade and a 24-lane bowling center, where there is cosmic bowling Fridays and Saturdays.
