Las Vegas is a wonderful city -- just having moved here from Seattle, I was very excited to see the sun. My destination in Las Vegas was Summerlin and I was very excited because the cost of living here is wonderful.
But when I went to take my garbage to the Dumpster, and my mixed papers and my glass bottles to the recycling bins, I discovered that my apartment does not have recycling. And not just my apartment complex -- it seems as if no apartments have recycling.
This is a city that is growing so fast, yet look at all the waste. I know I am not the only one moving from a city that recycles and I'm not some outlandish tree hugger, but I do like to make where I live just a little bit cleaner. What's going to happen if we continue on the path we're on now with recycling?
