Letter: Jobs not being kept at home in America

Half a million jobs have been lost so far this year. More than 2 million since the slump began two years ago. There are now five times as many people out of work as there are in jail. Another 424,000 filed unemployment claims last week.

The big news is in exports. The country is good at exporting American jobs overseas. Engineering, computer programming, customer service, and other jobs are going overseas by the thousands.

The problem is NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement. Both the Democrats and the Republicans show no interest in looking out for the American workers. Our congressional delegation has shown no interest in keeping jobs at home.
