Catherine Louise Benveniste

Catherine Louise Benveniste, 53, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 26, 1949, in California. A resident for 10 years, she was a loan coordinator for a mortgage banker.

She is survived by her husband, Alan; one son, Jim; two daughters, Summer and Jennifer; one sister, Nina; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Bonnie Jeanne Bergerson

Bonnie Jeanne Bergerson, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 15, 1932, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 48 years, she was a retired bank teller.

She is survived by her husband, William; two sons, Doug Bailey and Steve Bailey, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sandy Stephens of Henderson and Sheri Dunkel of Eatonville, Wash.; one brother, Ed Bingham of San Diego; three sisters, Waunetta Webster and Shirley Neville, both of El Cajon, Calif., and Millea Paige of Alpine, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS Ocean Street Ward. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Louis Gallo

Louis Gallo, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 21, 1948, in New York City. A resident for 30 years, he was the owner of La Pizzaria.

He is survived by his wife, Edie; one son, Louis "Lil Lou"; one daughter, Jacquii DeGraw; his mother, Vivian; two brothers; and five grandchildren.

Daniel Garcia

Daniel Garcia, 34, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 22, 1969, in Gilroy, Calif. A resident for three years, he was a manager at auto auctions.

He is survived by his wife, Salena; one daughter, Catherine Celine Garcia, and one son, Daniel Jonathan Garcia, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Stephen H. Hagen

Stephen H. Hagen, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 29, 1945, in Kansas. A resident for seven months, he was an architectural engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Marita K.; his father, Ralph M. Hagen; his mother, Virginia L. Mott; two sons, Eric S. Kennedy and Patrick B. Hagen; three daughters, Greta J. Standish, Bridget B. Hagen and Colleen E. Hagen; one brother, Charles Hagen; two sisters, Ginger Harmon and Mary Beth Miller; and 10 grandchildren.

Eleanor M. LaForce

Eleanor M. LaForce, 80, of Wisconsin died Monday in a Wisconsin hospital. She was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Green Bay, Wis. A former Las Vegas resident until three years ago, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Ann LaForce of Brookfield, Wis., Jeanne LaForce of Plum City, Wis., and Suzanne LaForce of Las Vegas; one son, Joseph LaForce of Manitowoc, Wis.; four brothers, Martin Kalinosky, Ray Kalinosky, Norbert Kalinosky and John Kalinosky; and one sister, Rita Kalinosky.

No local services are scheduled. Olson-Holzhuter-Cress, Stoughton, Wis., is handling arrangements.

Henry G. Moorehead

Henry G. Moorehead, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 14, 1927, in Corning, Ohio. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired truck driver, a member of the Moose and director Senior C at the Las Vegas Senior Center.

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; four children; two brothers; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. A private burial will follow.

Ellen L. O'Donnell

Ellen L. O'Donnell, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday. A crossing guard for 25 years, she was born Dec. 6, 1925, in England.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick of Absecon, N.J.

Frank L. Smith

Frank L. Smith, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 28, 1914, in Baltimore. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired sales representative for a public relations firm and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by four daughters, Nicola Smith of Berkeley, Calif., Carole McCants of Washington, D.C., and Beverly Clarke and Greta Smith-Garcia, both of Los Angeles; two sons, Frank L. Smith II of Seattle and Stephen M. Smith of Silver Spring, Md.; and four grandchildren.

Michael H. Tassie

Michael H. Tassie, 91, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. An office worker at Hughes Corp., he was born Feb. 13, 1912, in Barre, Vt.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; and one son, James M. Jones.

John E. Valente

John E. Valente, 89, of Henderson died Friday in a local care center. He was born March 21, 1914, in New York City. A resident for six years, he was a typesetter for a printing company.

He is survived by one son, John Valente of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Marie Weaverczak, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A secretary, she was born Sept. 2, 1934, in New York.

She is survived by her husband, William.

Gary Weichelt

Gary Weichelt, 52, of Las Vegas died May 18 in Henderson. A movie producer and a law enforcement employee, he was born July 26, 1950, in Missouri.

He is survived by one sister, Brenda Weichelt of Tucson.

Marcus B. Wesley

Marcus B. Wesley, 43, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 1959, in Anniston, Ala. A resident for 35 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by one son, Tyler Wesley of North Carolina; his parents, Jay and Rosetta Wesley of Las Vegas; six brothers, Jerry Wesley of Arizona and Terry Wesley, Jay Wesley Jr., Timothy Wesley, William Wesley and Steven Wesley, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Doris Blalock of Oklahoma, Valerie Sconyers of Las Vegas and Cassietta Jefferson of Texas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Mountaintop Faith Ministries, 2845 S. Lindell Road., followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Diana M. Wohlford

Diana M. Wohlford, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 1, 1940, in California. A resident for 29 years, she was a Clark County custodian.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald; two sons, Ted Martin and Paul Wohlford; three daughters, Terri Mears, Sharon and Carol; two brothers, Bill Gibbs and Michael Gibbs; and 11 grandchildren.
