Catherine Louise Benveniste

Catherine Louise Benveniste, 53, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 26, 1949, in California. A resident for 10 years, she was a loan coordinator for a mortgage banker.

She is survived by her husband, Alan; one son, Jim; two daughters, Summer and Jennifer; her mother, Imogene; one sister, Nina; and three grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Esther Marrone Cattonar

Esther Marrone Cattonar, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. A homemaker, she was born March 6, 1912, in Italy.

She is survived by one son, Sebastian E. Cattonar, and one daughter, Frances Learned, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ruth Elenor Cornforth

Ruth Elenor Cornforth, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Oct. 11, 1933.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Leroy; and one daughter, Cindy Lee Hanks of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Saturday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St. Graveside services will be noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Robert C. Cronk

Robert C. Cronk, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 22, 1920, in Burlington, Iowa. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired Air Force major and World War II veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rose A.; one son, Denis S. Cronk, and one daughter, Karen E. Ray, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Catherine A. Bliss of Burlington, Vt.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Francis P. Daly

Francis P. Daly, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 17, 1930, in New York City. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired U.S. Postal Service employee and a retired Air Force veteran who served 22 years.

He is survived by three sons, Chris P. Daly of Clovis, Calif., Larry Daly and John Daly; one daughter, Mary; and two brothers, Mathew Daly and Joseph Daly.

Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Herbert I. Gillis

Herbert I. Gillis, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 10, 1910, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a hotel maitre d'.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Capitola; one daughter, Lois Vandelogh of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Henry A. Guizzotti

Henry A. Guizzotti, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for seven years, he was a retired Air Force technical sergeant, World War II and Korean War veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by three daughters, Marie Guizzotti of Portland, Ore., Michelle Guizzotti of Buffalo and Antoinette Guizzotti of Las Vegas; one son, Rico Guizzotti of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and 15 grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jose Alexis Santiago

Jose Alexis Santiago, 24, of Las Vegas died May 31 in Las Vegas. He was born July 30, 1978, in Las Vegas. He was a telemarketer.

He is survived by two daughters, Olivia Santiago and Devonay Santiago; one son, Alex Santiago; his mother, Milandy Mundo; his father, Jose R. Santiago; four brothers, Joseph Santiago, Jimmy Santiago, Marcos Santiago and Junior Santiago; and two sisters, Michelle Santiago and Elsie Santiago.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Bobby J. Schneider

Bobby J. Schneider, 64, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born April 8, 1939, in Nebraska. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired automotive mechanic and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; two daughters, Sandy Engle of Fort Morgan, Colo., Kristi Birdsall of Greeley, Colo.; two brothers, Bill Schneider of North Platte, Neb., and Bruce Schneider of Elko; and one granddaughter.

Andrew Vietheer

Andrew Vietheer, 71, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 6, 1931, in New York City. A resident for one year, he was an accountant for the Food and Drug Administration and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine F.; and one daughter, Deborah Carlino of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Ruth Silvestri

Ruth Silvestri, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 3, 1926, in Scottsdale, Pa. A resident for 44 years, she was a retired casino cashier.

She is survived by one son, Vince Silvestri, and one daughter, Dorothy Silvestri, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Mary Jane Aaron, Esther Blackson, Therese Treichler and Bernadette Butina, all of Pennsylvania; one grandchild; and great-grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Entombment will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Arlene Walker

Arlene Walker, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 3, 1911, in Caledonia, Mich. A resident for 60 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one sister, Nettie Baughman of Hastings, Mich.

Jacques Winston

Jacques Winston, 54, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 5, 1949, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, he was vice president of Wesley Corp., a construction company.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; two daughters, Deshawn Slaughter and Nicole Winston, and two sons, Mako Winston and Levi Winston, all of Las Vegas; his father, James Winston of Santa Rosalia, Mexico; four sisters, Jan Underwood of New York City, Marcella Robinson of Sacramento, Jacquelyn Bohanan of Portland, Ore., and Zynn Jones of Seattle; four brothers, Randy Winston of Hawthorne, Calif., William Winston of Las Vegas and Victor Winston and Jonathon Winston, both of Battle Ground, Wash.; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. until a 2 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Geraldine Wojtas

Geraldine Wojtas, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 12, 1933, in Detroit. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired health care provider.

She is survived by her husband, George; three daughters, Diane Jackson and Denise Mantle, both of Detroit, and Linda Mantle of Vail, Colo.; one son, Robert Wojtas of Detroit; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will be private.
