Melody Marie Baig

Melody Marie Baig, 35, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 28, 1968, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. A resident for 12 years, she was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

She is survived by her husband, Farhan; one daughter, Farha Baig; two sons, Raheem Baig and Andrew Tamminen; her parents, Mark and Joanne Silverman; and one sister, Leanna Tamminen.

Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, followed by services at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Mildred Louise Bowers

Mildred Louise Bowers, 90, of Henderson died Aug. 18 in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 20, 1912, in Illinois. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Lorraine Lydia Bruno

Lorraine Lydia Bruno, 74, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born April 12, 1929, in Ottawa, Ill. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Siekierka of Illinois and Sally Farese of North Las Vegas; three sons, Barry Bruno of Henderson, Frank Bruno of Houston and Gary F. Bruno of Kent, Wash.; three sisters, Geraldine Brannen of Earlville, Ill., Beverly Fisher of Chillicothe, Ill., and Lois Leitch of Nancy, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Leonard W. Ember

Leonard W. Ember, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A floor covering store manager, he was born May 30, 1930, in New York.

He is survived by his wife, Delores.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Tucson. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Edith Y. Gaines

Edith Y. Gaines, 76, of Las Vegas died Aug. 19 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 17, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for 18 years, she was a schoolteacher.

She is survived by two sons, Michael D. Eskridge Sr. and Renard Patterson, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 N. H St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Annette Marie Hesseldahl

Annette Marie Hesseldahl, 52, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1951, in California. A resident for 18 years, she was a custodian.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel; one son, Troy Ferrari; one daughter, Jessica Ferrari; one brother, Joey Ferrari; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service is being arranged by Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Spiros Kouris

Spiros Kouris, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 1, 1951, in Corfu, Greece. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired clothing manufacturer.

He is survived by his father, Anastasios Kouris, two brothers, George Kouris and Konstantinos Kouris, and one sister, Dora Hart, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 6 p.m. trisagion service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 S. El Camino Road. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Carol Lynn Leo

Carol Lynn Leo, 53, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 7, 1950, in Camden, N.J. A resident for 40 years, she was a corporate sales associate.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick; one daughter, Kimberly Klassen of Las Vegas; one stepson, Dani Leo of Huntington Beach, Calif.; her mother, Bertha E. Mona, two sisters, Diane Bigelow and Denise McNamara, and one brother, Michael Mona, all of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter.

Services will be 5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Patricia A. Madler

Patricia A. Madler, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 17, 1937, in Chicago. A resident for 1 1/2 years, she was a retired customer service representative, a member of the West Flamingo Senior Center and the Parkinson's Support Group.

She is survived by three daughters, Maureen Barbis of Western Springs, Ill., Melissa Taub of Chicago and Marri Madler of LaGrange, Ill.; one son, Mark Madler of Brookfield, Ill.; one sister, Kathleen Steinhauer of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. A memorial service will be in Chicago. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Frederick Rappaport

Frederick Rappaport, 88, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born July 22, 1915, in New York City. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a tire business.

He is survived by three daughters, Delores Yamorsky of Las Vegas, Irene Hichman of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Joyce Dribble of Tennessee; one sister, Ethel Gruber of Lake Worth, Fla.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Alfred E. Smith

Alfred E. Smith, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 10, 1930, in Nebraska. A resident for 34 years, he was in the real estate business.

He is survived by his wife, Dea; one son, Al; four daughters, Debora Noack, Terri Miller, Kathleen Kerfoot and Connie Hovey; two brothers, James and Jack; and 14 grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Damien J. Stewart

Damien J. Stewart, 24, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 31, 1978, in Okinawa, Japan. A resident for 17 years, he was a senior at UNLV.

He is survived by his parents, Randy and Eather Stewart of Las Vegas; one daughter, Remmington T. Stewart of Atlanta; and his grandfather, Jesse Stewart of Tampa, Fla.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

James Addison Tribett

James Addison Tribett, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 29, 1926, in McMechen, W.Va. A resident for 45 years, he was a real estate broker, former owner of S&R Concrete and Precast Concrete and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cindy; three sons, Jed A. Tribett and James S. Tribett, both of Las Vegas and David Drew Tribett of Logan, Utah; one daughter, Lucinda T. Blum of Las Vegas; two brothers, Richard L. Tribett of Las Vegas and Gary Tribett of McMechen; one sister, Joyce Lutes of St. George, Utah; and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in the Spring Valley LDS chapel. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Alamo Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Virgie Lee Vincent

Virgie Lee Vincent, 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 27, 1914, in Hackley, La. A resident for 48 years, she was a hotel matron/attendant.

She is survived by one daughter, Bobbie J. Smith of Las Vegas; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Pilgrim Church of Christ Holiness, VanBuren Avenue and D Street. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

John W. Winslow

John W. Winslow, 60, of Las Vegas died Aug. 26 in a local hospital. He was born June 1, 1943, in Richton, Miss. A resident for 25 years, he was a hotel maintenance worker.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; three sons, Anthony Winslow and Ronnie Winslow, both of California, and Joshua McCray of Las Vegas; four daughters, Trina Winslow and Wanda Winslow, both of California, and Crystal Winslow and Tomeka Martin, both of Las Vegas; and 18 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services. A private burial will follow.

Adeline Wolfe

Adeline Wolfe, 91, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 15, 1912, in Tucson. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired school district dietician.

She is survived by one son, Edward Molina of Henderson; one sister, Amelia Brisby of Tucson; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
