Brenda W. Arnold

Brenda W. Arnold, 93, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 28, 1910, in Winnepeg, Manitoba. A resident for 65 years, she was a U.S. government librarian and a member of the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lester; one son, Douglas Arnold of Henderson, and one daughter, Joyce Voage of Pollack Pine, Calif.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Salvation Army, 2900 Palamino Lane. Burial will be at Eden Vale Mausoleum.

The family suggests donations to the Salvation Army.

Joseph Brune III

Joseph Brune III, 77, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born June 7, 1926, in Pennsylvania. A longtime resident he was an attorney.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara.

Burial will be in Dalton, Pa. Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson handled arrangements.

Jeani B. Buck

Jeani B. Buck, 59, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care facility. She was born Sept. 21, 1944, in California. A resident for 35 years, she was an auto parts delivery driver.

She is survived by one son, Derrek Buck; one daughter, Katherine Buck; one brother, Arthur T. Colombo; one sister, Carole Colombo; and two grandchildren.

Jason Charles Earl Cottrell

Jason Charles Earl Cottrell, 24, of Caliente died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 7, 1979, in Idaho.

He is survived by his parents, Ted E. and Donna Rae Cottrell of Caliente.

Burial will be in Caliente. Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson handled arrangements.

Audell R. Covington

Audell R. Covington, 91, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1912, in Murray, Ky. She was a retired sales clerk.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Carpenter of Dimmitt, Texas, Claudia McCaskill and Donna Palermo, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Palm Mortuary Cheyenne. Burial will be at Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Hugh M. Curtis Jr.

Hugh M. Curtis Jr, 58, of Las Vegas died Aug. 31 in a local hospital. He was born May 13, 1945, in Pocatello, Idaho. A resident for 17 years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Debra of California; two daughters, Madonna of Ohio, and Sonjia of Idaho; and two sons, Hugh M. Curtis of Idaho and Jeremy Curtis of California.

Floyd J. DeWitt

Floyd J. DeWitt, 63, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 2, 1940, in Pottsfield, Pa. A resident for 25 years, he was a correctional officer and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Nina; two stepsons, Johnny Ard of Georgia, and Joey Ard of South Carolina; and two brothers, Gary DeWitt of Nevada and Herb DeWitt of Pennsylvania.

Services are private. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.

Betty Lanoue Dunnington

Betty Lanoue Dunnington, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 19, 1928, in Joliet, Ill. A resident for five years, she was an attorney.

She is survived by her husband, Howard; and one brother, Rene Lanoue of Chanahon, Ill.

Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary, Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North handled arrangements.

Jack H. Fields

Jack H. Fields, 74, of Henderson died Friday in a local nursing home. He was born July 5, 1929, in Childress, Texas. A resident for one year, he was a retired National Park Service ranger, a World War II and Korean War Marine Corps veteran, a member of American Legion Post 42, John Ivan Unit and Grand Canyon Williams Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Feliz "Esy;" one daughter, Beth Betts of Copper Center, Alaska; one son, Jack Fields of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday followed by services at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to Alzheimer's Association, Southern Nevada Chapter.

Francis R. Foley

Francis R. Foley, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care facility. He was born Feb. 26, 1923, in New York City. A resident for three years, he was a retired Marine Corps master sergeant and a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth; one daughter, Sharon Ann Aldridge of Las Vegas; two sons, Patrick Sean Foley of Oceanside, Calif, and Brian Michael Foley of Denver; one brother, Jay Ogden Foley of Estancia, N.M.; one sister, Patricia Quinn of Valrico, Fla.; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Judy Foote

Judy Foote, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Falmouth, Mass. A resident for six years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by one son, Jason Foote of Florida; two sisters, Mary Adams of New Bedford, Mass., and Shelley Bohne of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Dick Archambeault of California, Wayne Archambeault of Massachusetts and Gary Archambeault of California.

Lorin John Hamilton

Lorin John Hamilton, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care facility. He was born Jan. 11. 1927, in Topeka, Kan. A resident for 60 years, he was a retired police officer and a member of Scottish Society.

He is survived by five daughters, Catherine Floyd, Margaret Ayala, Theresa Fau, Lauren Longmire and Janet Brinkerhoff, all of Las Vegas; 31 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday preceded by a one hour visitation at the LDS Civic Center Ward, 2401 Tonopah Ave. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Frank J. Kaminski Sr.

Frank J. Kaminski Sr., 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 21, 1914, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired head shipping clerk for a porcelain company and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Kate; one son, Frank Kaminski Jr.; two daughters, Jo Ann Williams and Karen Cortes; two brothers, Raymond and Stanley; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Michelle A. Montecino

Michelle A. Montecino, 46, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 7, 1957, in New Orleans. A lifelong resident, she was a hairstylist.

She is survived by one son, Brett Rosepiler, and four brothers, Rick Montecino, Mike Montecino, Lance Montecino and Dean Montecino, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be noon Wednesday at Palm Mortuary Cheyenne.

Margaret L. Morton

Margaret L. Morton, 76, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 7, 1927, in Detroit. A resident for 41 years, she was a crossing guard.

She is survived by one son, Richard Morton of Las Vegas; one daughter, Tina Ashworth of North Las Vegas; and one sister, Elsie Stocker of St. Clair Shores, Mich.

Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be noon Wednesday at Bunkers Mortuary. Burial will be in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Bernah 'Gene' Neill

Bernah 'Gene' Neill, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Texas. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired senior project engineer, a World War II Air Force veteran, a member of American Legion and Moose and was former vice president of the Southern Nevada Bowling Association, and a certified bowling lane inspector.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janie G.; two daughters, Trude Neill of Florida and Gaby Baker of New Mexico; three stepsons, Kenneth, Warren and Christopher, all of Indiana; four grandchildren; one great grandchild.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Palm Mortuary Jones.

William O'Brien

William O'Brien, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 21, 1920, in California. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired inspector for an airplane manufacturer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Margarita; one son, Michael; one daughter, Martha; one sister, Mary Ellen O'Brien of Wisconsin; and three grandchildren.

Isaac D. Piar Jr.

Isaac D. Piar Jr., 67, of Las Vegas died Sept. 22 in a local hospital. He was born April 3, 1936, in New York. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired apartment security guard.

He is survived by his wife, Edwina; one daughter, Vickey Campbell, and two sons, Curtis Piar and Ricardo Piar, all of Simi Valley, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Betty Lou Rich

Betty Lou Rich, 61, of Sandy Valley died Sept. 19 in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Oklahoma. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, H.O.; two sons, Wade Rich and James; four daughters, Sue, Amber, Liz and Chris; one brother, John Watts; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Ralph Rivera

Ralph Rivera, 77, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 24, 1925, in Cameo, Colo. A resident for eight years, he was a retired aircraft machinist, a World War II Army vetersn and a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; two sons, Ralph Rivera Jr. of Denver and Christopher Paul Rivera of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Sadie Shekofte of Sierra Madre, Calif., and Valerie Ann Ramirez of Torrance, Calif.; his mother, Marianna Rivera of Los Altos, Calif; four sisters, Ramona Spicer of West Point, Calif., Beatrice Roque of San Bruno, Calif., Marlene Miller of Brighton, Mich., and Anabelle Foland of Grangeville, Idaho; seven brothers, Albert Rivera of Alamogordo, N.M., Pantaleon Rivera of Lodi, Calif., Marcel Rivera of Lakewood, Colo., Fred Rivera of Henderson, Gregory Rivera of Los Altos, Tony Rivera of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Craig Rivera of Albuquerque; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Mary Ann Sebastian, 90, of Boulder City died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 7, 1913, in Sewickley, Pa. A resident for 31 years, she was a restaurant owner.

She is survived by her husband, Dominic J; one brother, John Corso of Washington; and one sister, Connie Belcastro of Las Vegas.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Roberta Joyce Stroh

Roberta Joyce Stroh, 57, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 9, 1945, in California.

She is survived by her husband, James; two sons, James R. Stroh of Las Vegas and Darren S. Stroh of California; one daughter, Nichole Stroh of Las Vegas; her father, John Dobbins; and her mother, Mary Riddle; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive.

Grace Van Compernolle

Grace Van Compernolle, 91, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care facility. She was born July 22, 1912, in Hayden, N.M. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired registered nurse.

She is survived by one sister, Agnes James, and one brother, James Farrell, both of Las Vegas.

Services will be at 6 p.m. today preceded by a one-hour visitation at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Ralph Williams

Ralph Williams, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care facility. He was born March 21, 1924, in Honeygrove, Texas. A resident for seven years, he was a retired shipping seaman and a World War II Merchant Marine veteran.

He is survived by his brother, Charlie Williams of Gun Barrel, Texas.
