The Lakes Association is hosting the annual Festival of Lights from noon to 6 p.m. on Dec. 13, an annual celebration to bring together the residents of all the communities in The Lakes area near W. Sahara Avenue.
The event is free and open to the public. It will include a car show, arts and crafts fair, face painting and visits with Santa. Food and drinks will also be on sale.
The grand finale is the Electric Light Boat Parade, a procession of lighted boats that will cruise along the waters of Lake Sahara at 5 p.m.
The festival will be held at the intersection of Lake Sahara Drive and Lake East Drive, just south of W. Sahara Avenue. The street will be blocked off and parking will be available in the adjacent Citibank parking lot.
