Central Florida residents told to flee brush fire
Wed, May 21, 2008 (2:52 p.m.)
Authorities have told residents of about 140 homes in central Florida to evacuate ahead of a fast-moving brush fire.
Officials say the homes themselves are not threatened by the fire that began Wednesday. But it could cut off a main road and leave them trapped.
Lake County emergency spokesman Chris Patton says the fire has burned nearly a square mile.
The fire is burning in Lake County near Orlando. No injuries have been reported.
