North Las Vegas Police on Sunday arrested a man suspected of firing a shot that killed an 8-year-old girl in a dispute over drugs.

Kenneth Reid, 20, is the second man to be arrested in the death of Savanah Bullins, who died June 12 when a bullet went through the wall of her father's second floor apartment at 2112 Sun Ave.

Metro Police on Sunday contacted Reid at a home in the 4600 block of East Monroe Avenue while on a routine call. North Las Vegas Police detectives responded to the address and Reid was arrested, then booked into the North Las Vegas Detection Center on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon.

The other man charged in the girl's death, Marcus Dewayne Larry, 27, of North Las Vegas, was arrested June 24. Police today identified Reid as the alleged gunman.

Authorities said the girl's father apparently was the intended target of the shooting in a dispute over drugs.

Police seized a handgun during Reid's arrest, although it wasn't the gun used in the shooting of Bullins, police said.
