The Ovation room will soon be the place for Sinners.

The Sin City Sinners are moving to a steady gig at the Green Valley Ranch Resort starting Jan. 24.

The local band, which debuted at the Divebar in southeast Las Vegas about a year and a half ago, will be taking over Saturday nights with hard-rock covers and famous rock guests. The four-member group kicks it off at 10 p.m. with L.A. Guns glam metal front man Phil Lewis.

Sami Yaffa, of New York Dolls, and singer Jizzy Pearl will join the Sinners at Ovation on Jan. 31.

The Sin City Sinners are known for their guests, said singer and guitarist Todd Kerns.

As fun as it is bringing in former Kiss lead guitarist Bruce Kulick and Great White guitarist Mark Kendall, it also means a lot of work learning new material, Kerns said.

"But this is also rewarding," he said. "It's hard to complain about doing gigs and playing music for a living. In these days a lot of people are doing things they don't want to do to get by."

The Sinners bring in famous rockers through the connections that leader Brent Muscat made through his career. Muscat was the guitarist for Faster Pussycat and toured with such big names in the late 1980s as Kiss, Mötley Crüe, Alice Cooper and David Lee Roth.

Because of its success, the group has become Kerns' full-time commitment over the past year. He was part of the Canadian alternative rock group Age of Electric in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He moved to Las Vegas in 2005 to get into producing, which is how he met Muscat.

The group is still working on getting Slash of Guns N' Roses and Gene Simmons of Kiss to join them on stage.

The Sin City Sinners perform an over-21 free show starting at 10 p.m. Saturdays at Green Valley Ranch Resort, 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway. For a list of Sinners' guests, visit its MySpace Music page.
