It’s always good to fuel up before a night of partying and T-Bones Chophouse & Lounge knows this. The Red Rock eatery also understands that we like to eat and drink on the cheap, so it presents a “T-time” happy hour, daily from 5-7 p.m. Try the chicken pot pie pairing with the gin garden cocktail, or finish your nosh with some fried Oreos and a Young’s Double Chocolate Stout. All items are $5 … isn’t it about time to let your inner fat kid out? –Mark Adams

Bass in your face! Friday night’s Frequency dubstep/drum and bass party at Crown inside the Rio pulled it off. Not gonna lie, we were skeptical about whether the particular niche electronic music genres could draw enough fans to fill the dance floor; those sounds are usually confined to a side room or smaller stage at festivals. But by around midnight, guys and gals were happily stomping around to dark, wonky beats from AK1200, 12th Planet, Datsik, Bare and more. When the night wrapped, more than 600 people had made it through the door. Not too shabby! –Deanna Rilling
