Eva Longoria Parker recieves the “Premio de Oro” award from Latin Chamber of Commerce Chairman Luis Valera on Saturday, February 20, 2010.

Eva Longoria Parker has wasted no time in warming up to the fact that she is the sole female nightclub-owner on the Las Vegas Strip, a delightful and important detail the petite actress/philanrthopist/entrepreneur was entirely unaware of until she was interviewed by the Weekly prior to the December opening of her first Vegas ventures, Beso Restaurant and Eve Nightclub, located inside Crystals at CityCenter.

In recognition of her outstanding entrepreneurial spirit, Saturday, February 20 was proclaimed to be "Eva Longoria Parker Day" by Clark County Commission Chairman Rory Reid and Las Vegas Councilman Ricky Barlow.

Furthermore, to honor her commitment to expanding opportunities for female- and minority-owned businesses, Longoria Parker was also presented the prestigious "Premio de Oro — Distinguished Business Leadership" award by the Latin Chamber of Commerce. Receiving her award, Longoria Parker attributed much of her success to the female role models in her life — her mother, grandmother, aunts and three older sisters.

Longoria Parker — in grey leather Bagdley Mischka and black YSL pumps — shared her eponymous day and celebration with friends, her proud parents, Ella and Enrique Longoria, and her entire nightclub full of fans and supporters, which included Nevada's own First Lady Dawn Gibbons, Chairman of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce David Lizárraga, Nevada Senator Steven Horsford, Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly, Assemblyman William Horne, Latin Chamber of Commerce Chairman Luis Valera and President and CEO Otto Merida, and Aria President and COO Bill McBeath.

And let us not forget celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who was also in attendance to fête Longoria Parker's first annual "Eva Longoria Parker Day" celebration. Only 364 days till the next one.
