Established more than 20 years ago, Broadbent & Associates Inc. provides cost-effective consulting services relating to engineering, water resources and environmental development. The staff, which has seen little turnover since the company’s inception, provides consultations ranging from obtaining site closure on an active environmental remediation project to the completion of permits to allow for construction on a civil engineering/land development project. In 2009, Broadbent & Associates expanded from a 6,000-square-foot facility to a 9,000-square-foot space and added several employees.

GreenValleyMed caters specifically to the needs of physicians and other medical professionals who want one place that they can count on for all of their pharmaceutical, specialty compounding, nutriceutical, medical supply and equipment essentials needs. GreenValleyMed originally used an 8,000-square-foot facility, but expanded in 2009 to a 22,000-square-foot space.

Established in 1853 by Levi Strauss, Levi Strauss & Co. is one of the world’s largest brand-name apparel marketers, with sales in more than 110 countries. With its headquarters in San Francisco, Levi Strauss & Co. recently expanded its Henderson presence by more than 130,000 square feet, and is anticipated to add 40 additional staff.

Margate Entertainment

Margate Entertainment owns the largest non-network library of sports, music and entertainment programming in the U.S. Margate produces new programming from the shows in its library and licenses clips, and programs to third parties for use in TV shows, commercials and movies. Its Henderson-based headquarters tripled in size when they moved one block from their original location to a space with 4,000 square feet. The new location will allow the company to offer administration, e-Commerce and studio production under one roof.

National University

National University is the second-largest private, nonprofit higher education institution in California. Founded in 1971, National University consists of five schools and one college, offers 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as 22 teacher credential and certificate programs. Along with the in-classroom classes, the university offers more than 50 graduate and undergraduate degree programs and more than 1,200 courses online. Its Henderson location expanded by more than 3,000 square feet in 2009 to encompass a 13,157-square-foot facility.

The campus consists of two colleges, the College of Osteopathic Medicine, which offers Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, and the College of Health and Human Services, which offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, Master of Education in School Administration and Special Education Generalist, and Endorsement in Teaching English as a Second Language. A recent expansion added 42,000 square feet of learning space to the existing campuses.
