NV Energy came in dead last in customer satisfaction in the annual J.D. Power and Associates Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study for large utilities in the western United States.

The Nevada utility scored a 608 out of 1,000 possible points. That is up 8 points from last year, but not enough to get out last place, where NV Energy has sat for three of the past four years. The national average was 630 points.

The study is based on responses from more than 85,000 online interviews conducted from July 2009 through May 2010 among residential customers of the 121 largest electric utility brands across the United States.
