Notice the billboards for Electric Daisy Carnival around Vegas recently? Does this mean the annual festival that takes place in Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas and Puerto Rico has added a Vegas date? Will we soon experience insane lighting and sound, multiple stages, a barrage of costumed characters, carnival rides and almost every top electronic music artist in the world in one place?

Sadly, no. But the original EDC in LA is getting bigger and better in its 14th year and reaching out to new (and seasoned) fans in the Vegas market. Who’s ready for a road trip?

“Vegas always targets LA!” laughs Insomniac Productions CEO Pasquale Rotella. (If you weren’t aware, there are Vegas nightclub billboards all over Southern California). “We’ve always promoted in Vegas, but never on this scale,” says Rotella of the three billboards here, a first for EDC. “We’re a close market and there’s a lot of people that travel to LA on a regular basis.”

And it’s not just the eye of Vegas locals Insomniac is hoping to catch for EDC.

“Obviously there are other people traveling from different areas to Vegas and being that Daisy is two days now, it’s something that has become more of a destination for travelers as well,” says Rotella. “We felt like the demographic going to Vegas definitely will have interest in Electric Daisy Carnival.”

Tickets for a single day start at $65, and the two-day ultimate cabana VIP package for $4900—still relatively inexpensive compared to Vegas club standards—includes eight VIP tickets, two bottles of premium vodka plus mixers, a hosted open bar, personal cabana overlooking the main stage, refreshments, separate entrance, and access to the VIP lounge and restroom. (Try finding all that in Vegas for the same price!)

“You get a lot of bang for your buck,” says Rotella, who’s most looking forward to Swedish House Mafia, Laidback Luke and Benny Benassi. “For how much talent we have and the level of production that’s going on, you definitely get your money’s worth, for sure.”
