A court hearing has been continued for a man who North Las Vegas police have accused of being the "scarf-face robber, suspected in several robberies in December and January.

Lonnie Troy, 35, will have his arraignment at 8:30 a.m. July 13 before Clark County District Judge Jackie Glass in Courtroom 15A in the Regional Justice Center.

Troy is being held at the North Las Vegas Detention Center on $245,000 bail, according to court records.

Authorities arrested Troy on Jan. 17, saying he was responsible for several robberies in the northeast Las Vegas Valley. They accuse him of wearing a scarf over his face to conceal his identity during each robbery.

He has been charged in connection with five robberies and is suspected of being connected to at least 14 other cases in the Las Vegas area, authorities have said.

The first robbery Troy has been accused of took place Dec. 19, 2009. Many of the robberies took place between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., while others occurred between 12:50 p.m. and 6 p.m., police said.

In a Jan. 7 robbery, a clerk shot at the robber and he left without money, police said. Police said they don't believe the robber was struck by bullets.
