North Las Vegas Police said they have arrested a second suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy last month.

Joshua Jones, 18, was arrested and booked into the North Las Vegas Detention Center about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on a count of murder with a deadly weapon and four counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon in the death of Donald Troutman.

Soloman White, 19, was arrested June 11 in connection with the shooting.

Officers received a call about 6:40 p.m. May 26 of shots fired in the 5100 block of Cross Ranch Street, police spokesman Sgt. Tim Bedwell said. When police arrived, they found Troutman with gunshot injuries, police said.

Troutman was taken to University Medical Center, where he died in surgery, Bedwell said. The coroner’s office said he died of a gunshot wound to the buttocks.

The shooting took place near North Fifth Street and East Washburn Road, not far from Mojave High School.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111 Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
