LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Political signs are litter once election comes to a close

The primary election is over. So, candidates, please remove all the clutter caused by your banners, signs and cardboard cutouts that are now debris and blowing all over our communities.

Is it too much to ask that you use the same service or volunteers, who place this stuff along our streets and vacant lots, to go back and collect what looks like garbage?

I am appalled by all parties that leave the materials to rot and blow away after a primary or general election has long passed — and I know I’m joined by all voting and nonvoting residents in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson. It may be difficult if you were on the losing end of the primary election, but, please, clean up your mess.

Can we count on candidates not to repeat the practice after the general election this November? Thanks.
