Dr. Fielden, NCARB, FAIA is internationally recognized for his contributions to the profession of architecture, including a number of international design awards and architectural exhibits containing his work. He is a recipient of the Nevada Society of Architects, Silver Medal and the American Institute of Architects’, Western Mountain Region, Silver Medal; and, is the first Nevada recipient for both honors. Fielden’s reputation for contributions to architectural excellence dates back to 1967, and the receipt of the Western Mountain Region, AIA Honor Award for the Chemistry Building at UNLV. Fielden has served as president of the Las Vegas Chapter of the AIA on three separate occasions; he is past president of Nevada AIA, a former member of the AIA national board of directors and is a member of the AIA College of Fellows. Fielden is past president of the National Council of Architectural Registration Board, the organization that is responsible for examining and governing the practice of architecture in the United States, and former secretary treasurer of the National Architectural Accrediting Boards, the body that accredits architectural education across the United States.
