As a third generation Las Vegan and a dynamic entrepreneur, Jeffrey Fine has launched a series of successful businesses in real estate, retail, and gaming in Southern Nevada. Established in 2002, Fine Concepts is the managing entity of Fine’s food and beverage ventures and was created for the initial purpose of securing exclusive development rights in Nevada for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, one of the largest privately owned, family-run coffee and tea companies in the world. Fine has since expanded The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to 15 neighborhood and casino locations. And, by the end of 2010, Fine Concepts will own and manage an additional 25 concept stores in the Valley. In 2005, he joined forces with his father, Mark, to establish Fine Properties, focusing on retail and office development. Since then, Fine Properties has developed several unique, high-end retail projects in Summerlin and is developing the new Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Headquarters facility, a nearly 400,000-square-foot office development in downtown Las Vegas. His continued passion for entrepreneurship and business led Fine to establish Silver Nugget Gaming in 2007. He acquired two casinos in downtown North Las Vegas, the Silver Nugget and the Opera House. Silver Nugget Gaming operates these two casinos and its nearly 500 slots and video poker machines, table games, bowling, bingo, dining and live entertainment. Fine also is a partner in District Gaming, which operates three gaming taverns at The District at Green Valley Ranch, including Balboa Pizza Company, Al’s Garage, and Kennedy Tavern. Fine also enjoys being a passive partner in his brother’s nightclub business, Fine Entertainment, which owns The RockHouse, the Las Vegas Strip’s only “ultra dive bar,” and the PBR Rock Bar, a new venue at the Miracle Mile Shops opening July 4th, which combines the energy and experience of the RockHouse with the ubiquitous brand of the Professional Bull Riders. Fine takes great pride in continuing this legacy through his active involvement in the Las Vegas community. He donates time and resources to many worthy non-profit organizations throughout the city, including Opportunity Village, the United Way of Southern Nevada, the Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada and Best Buddies Nevada. Additionally, Fine has served on the Board of Directors for The Public Education Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas and adopted the Booker Elementary Empowerment School in west Las Vegas in the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and real estate from the University of Arizona, graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1997 and is a member of the State Bar of California. After law school, he worked as a real estate investment banker in New York for Nomura Securities US real estate subsidiary. He is a past member of the Young Presidents Organization and in 2007 was named by In Business Las Vegas as one of the “40 Under 40” in Nevada and was chosen as a member of the “Vegas Dozen” by the Nevada Cancer Institute.
