As director of operations for Martin & Martin Civil Engineers, Kenneth McFarlane uses his multidisciplinary background in engineering to provide quality control/quality assurance reviews of all of Martin & Martin’s ventures. After starting his career in 1999 in Indiana, McFarlane joined Martin & Martin in 2003 as a project manager, providing civil engineering design for commercial development, hotel/casino development and residential properties. In 2005, McFarlane moved to his new position overseeing all project managers, including the drainage and traffic departments. McFarlane’s extensive experience working with both the private and public sectors has given him a well-rounded background in engineering that lends itself seamlessly to his work at Martin & Martin. Before moving to Nevada, McFarlane worked as a bridge engineer for DLZ Corporation in South Bend, Ind. and as a project manager for RC Engineering in Zilwaukee, Mich., gaining experience in highway design, bridge design, hydraulic/hydrologic analysis and mining quantities projects. He graduated from Tri-State University in Angola, Ind. and holds his professional engineer’s license in Michigan, Arizona and Nevada. McFarlane is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Architects.
