Laurie Paquette is group director for General Growth Properties Inc., the country’s second-largest shopping center owner, manager and developer. A 27-year retail management veteran who first began her career with GGP in Des Moines, Iowa, Paquette is today responsible for center operations within one of GGP’s most important and significant markets – Las Vegas, where GGP dominates luxury retail on the Las Vegas Strip via its three premier properties – Fashion Show, The Shoppes at The Palazzo and The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. As group director, Paquette is responsible for operations, leasing, security and mall safety, tenant relations, advertising sales and revenue, community relations, employee development and the development of overall strategic plans to improve the centers’ fiscal operations.
